For the 2nd time in 5 days, I (attempted to) send btc using Coinbase as my wallet.

This experience is like what happened to me as well 5 days ago - I sent it 1 hour and 25 minutes ago - it still hasn't been sent.

Last time I was told by the live chat person to send an email - "I'll watch for it and see it gets high priority" - which was total bs, as the coin wasn't sent for many hours, and it took almost a full day to get a support return email for my problem. Or perhaps at Coinbase 24 hours to respond to a serious issue is considered a rapid response.

When I did receive the email, was told "We're out of sync with the blockchain."

This time, the chat person told me that must be happening again now, it's an issue we're aware of that's been happening for the last week.

I'm assuming "out of sync with the blockchain" is a euphemism for "We're having a tech problem and we don't know how to fix it".

Anyone else going thru this with them?

I'm going back to setting up my own wallet on my computer with backups and/or cold storage - I've given up on this company.

(Could they have deeper problems?).

CoinBase is always a question mark for me. We dont own our private keys at CoinBase wallet. This is dangerous.

Same here, once I make a purchase I try to get it into a real wallet as soon as possible after the 4-day wait clears.

I had a situation with bitcoin withdrawals from Coinbase not being processed (Pending) for a few hours, and then they just disappeared without a trace. Their support took 3 days to respond to my request, and then they blamed some kind of unidentified technical problems. I would not keep BTC balance on Coinbase for the life of me. This company is a total joke.

I'm surprised no one is talking about this to the community. All the figureheads are just regurgitating nonsense about how great Coinbase is for Bitcoin community. At the same time, users are posting horror stories about practical Coinbase experience on a regular basis:

The list goes on and on, but everybody seems to blissfully ignore all the warning signs... what are people waiting for, another Gox-style blowout?!
