I'm trying to sync the blockchain but it gets stuck, I've downloaded a fresh chain. It just says constantly that Sync data returned unknown top block. If I can't sync the blockchain, am I able to send money with my wallet? I tried to send some, it says money successfully sent, but I have never received it on an exchange. I've used Payment id.

EDIT: I've redownloaded a fresh copy of the blockchain and my transaction has never gone through. How can I send monero with my client behind firewall? I can't open ports

^Backup your wallet (the .keys file). Delete the .bin file (not the .keys) and open your wallet as usual (with the .bin name you just deleted). The .bin file will be recreated based on the .keys file. If you forgot your password it's just you who could help to yourself by remembering it.

^The new version didn't changed your password. Are you sure you are using the right wallet file? Maybe CAPS?

what could potentially be doing this?? no caps just my normal password... it used to work and now it doesnt i just dont understand

i ahve over a btc worth, i was keeping it in cold storage thinking its ok and now i update it gives me invalid password...

^Is it the same wallet address in the .address.txt file? Are you sure it's the same wallet - maybe you created a new one with different password? Did you created it on win 32 or 64? Is this the same system?

im sure it is, do i keep the wallet.bin.key file with the .address.txt file, and delete the wallet.bin??

im pretty sure its same wallet, only had one wallewt with xmr in it, and i made sure to have copies of the three files in wallet as well as the pasword just incase something happens.. win 64 im sure of it

all i know is it worked before, and something happened in the time i left wall in cold storage to the new update... my password worked before and now doesnt...

Hi,

bitmonerod gives me a lot of error messages like this one:

Code:
2014-Jun-30 18:38:32.172137 [P2P9]ERROR /home/jonathan/monero/bitmonero/contrib/epee/include/net/abstract_tcp_server2.inl:307 send que size is more than ABSTRACT_SERVER_SEND_QUE_MAX_COUNT(100), shutting down connection

What does that mean and how can i solve it?

Thanks.

It means bitmonerod is a bit too enthusiastic telling everyone about its minor issues, dont worry you can safely ignore them. Any others which turn up try googling the last few words of the error msg, you'll probably find its a similar thing.

One way to solve it is typing "set_log 0" in the daemon window, stops all messages Smiley

alonz, delete poolstate.bin, your compiled version is probably from the one before tx expiry was added. So also recompile with the latest commits.

If that works please respond so that we know.
