Is it true Satoshi, that you read this question and responded to this thread under another name?

No, I would tell you if I was.

If I buy you sushi, can you shoot me over some of your stash?

...

The real Satoshi is probably the world's only Bitcoin millionaire (not measured in fiat)
Controlling over 1 million BTC is serious power and gives "life, purpose and hope" to some of the better alt coins.

What made you pick this quote for the Genesis Block, which has now become famous?

"03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks"

Why Gavin Andreson? Was no one else interested? You stole a major chunk of your design from Adam Back's Hashcash, wasn't he interested in joining you?

Hashcash is open source, do you know if Satoshi gave proper credit in the BTC code? If yes, then saying he "stole it" would seem pretty harsh.

No, he gave him credit so not stole but borrowed. In fact, most of the white paper is borrowed from someone. Why not let the architects of Bitcoin join you? Or were they just not interested.

It's legit, common knowledge really.

I wonder if Satoshi ever reads this forum. If (s)he does, I bet (s)he gets a lot of laughs. I know I do.  Grin

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

I didn't ask if it's legit. I believe it is.
I asked for a reference, a link or something.

Thanks Smiley

It's not his idea to begin with.
He even mentions it in one of his posts here - Nick Zhabo (sp?) and the other guy who's name escapes me right now coz I need some sleep.

"Are you the Son of God, or just His Nephew?"

"Is there a Galt's Gulch after this life?"

Academic interest in bitcoin only. Not owner, not trader, very skeptical of its longterm success.

Do you want to remain anonymous?

The obvious answer is 'yes'. Wouldn't want to ask him any questions after that. And I'd feel euphoric.
