Any of the NEM members from the team know if there will be a possibility of lowering the Supernode minimum of 3M NEM in the future to something more accesible?

Not discussed. Probably not for now.

Yes looks like Hitachi is using Mijin.

Very good news indeed, we will see more partnerships for sure! Cheesy
It seems, not using, and only want to test.

NEM surprises over and over again Shocked
Surprises? it was expected. Devs are working hard, expect a lot of great things in 2017/18 from NEM.

I think that the first Catapult output will take place this month, as it is very strange behaves market XEM, who does not give a price rise, and at the same time, buying more and more tokens XEM, feels to me that once released the news about Catapult, the missile will fly with supersonic speed

Here is an interesting stat, since late January Japan is now top country in Bitcoin volume

You can see it is close to 38% currently, even more than US or China  Shocked
https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/btc/analysis/USD?type=Currencies

This bodes well for NEM as we all know the Asian markets and particularly Japan are all NEM fans!

Only because it's zero fee. The Chinese refugees will be heading there so they'll mainly be foreign. Still, hopefully it'll inspire some Japanese folks. The government there seems to be moving more positively towards crypto than the actual population.

Do you mean if you can earn xem, like payment for services or faucet? If so, I have not seen any thing yet. For now, all I know is either you buy it from exchanges or harvest it. You can learn more about harvesting from here https://blog.nem.io/tag/harvesting/

https://blog.indiesquare.me/the-new-bitcoin-regulation-in-japan-worse-than-the-bitlicense-e669618d69e0#.h74uhjvok

Japan's new Bit License coming into effect in March and already dubbed "worse than New York's Bit License".  Need $500,000 and spend $Millions in Japan to be approved.  IOUs and Tokens like CounterParty and Augur are banned.  There will be an approved list of cryptocurrencies and no indication yet if NEM will be on that list or not.

“Only approved virtual currencies by the authority are considered legitimate and can be traded, sold or promoted to the public,” according to the letter of the law. So, in short, if they haven’t heard of your coin before, you are not getting approved.

Good news .. this  ll make nem even more legit.
since nem is well established in japan...NEM COMPANIES LIKE
.HITASHI MINJIN AND OTHER  HAVE ENOUGH RESOURCES TO GET THE LICENSE.

bad news for small startup .

Yes I agree, we are in a good position to get licenced, but hard for the small players to try and enter, bit unfair to those, but in saying that, hopefully it will put an end to all the shitcoins out there, in Japan anyway.

license$ 500,000 there is the possibility of the withdrawal of business abroad, in offshore, because the only serious office with a billion dollars will be able to master such costs, of course, for small-scale private capital and the creation of digital assets may not be considered

Man, this is not a good move for crypto in Japan.  Really a roadblock for both bitcoin and alts and hard to see the long-term affects of this.

For example, what does Zaif have to do to become complaint just to operate as an exchange?

It would be nice if anyone from the NEM team could chime in on how this may affect NEM's operations in Japan.
