Bump. Still deciding whether I want to ship these out or not. Leaning towards no, but I can be swayed if someone can tell me the right way to pack computer components, or if I can find the right way myself. In the meantime, prices dropped on the 7970s.

I ship stuff all the time, I hate hassle and just use the USPS flat rate boxes. Video cards and motherboards I have been shipping in medium flat rate (rectangle not square) boxes with anti stat bags around the devices taped shut then bubble wrap. I break down the box and include it along with accessories.

larger items like your PSU may fit in a large flat rate and your options open up as long as you or your buyer don't care about maintaining the original packaging.

For the smaller items like CPUs / memory/ media , If they fit in a small flat rate box with bubble wrap its good otherwise a medium square and bubble/paper/peanuts.

I just keep a bunch of the flat rate boxes on hand (all sizes) since they are free from the post office and they are ready to go. No need to deal with people asking for shipping quotes all over the county...  just print a label tape it to the box then check the box for a pick up outside your door or put in the mailbox or drop it off.

This is just how I do it, I have gotten good feedback on my packaging on ebay and I make it so simple that I get crap out of my house quickly... (might pay more for the flat rate but the low hassle means I will actually sell stuff)

I PM'd you a few days ago, I am interested in the CPU and possibly the PSU.

I can vouch for the effectiveness of keeping the flat rate boxes on hand. I have one of each size, and two of each medium on hand. They are a real life savor. Just stuff them behind something until you go to use them.

Yep, I have a ton of them.

Pisses the wife off, but they are useful.

Bump. Working on getting shipping boxes, antistatic bags, and popcorn. Will probably ship these out, if there are takers, but this will take some time.

Bump. Now willing to ship anywhere within the USA, assuming we use DannyHamilton as escrow, and assuming I can get a stash of antistatic bags.

Bump. 256 GB Crucial M4 no longer for sale, it died last Saturday. Due to losing the Crucial M4, entire rig will now cost $900.

Bump. Prices on 7970s reduced. The rig is now partially disassembled with the FX-8350, the Corsair AX1200i, the Xigmatek Aegir, and all three 7970s out of the Cooler Master HAF 912.

If you have any computer repair shops in the area, try visiting some of those, maybe offer a little compensation. There are 3 individually owned PC shops here, and on the second one I visited, they happily gave me a ton for free (They were typically motherboard ESD bags, but work fine for GPU) as well as a whole garbage bag worth of packing peanuts. I tipped them $20 after I started selling my GPUs off. I also managed to get a separate garbage bag full of bubble wrap for free from a individually owned carpet and upholstery store (I tipped them as well)

Bump. Still need to get those antistatic bags, but have the means to acquire them now.

Also, more pics, and listed all three 7970s on eBay.

Buying using BTC is an opportunity to get the cards a week early and pay the starting bid price.

Just a suggestion.

Use some canned air or something to blow those things out and then upload new pics.

The canned air failed me, since I didn't have the small straw. I need one of those.

Bump. Deciding to sell the GPUs off, although I got my bitcoin mining back last Thursday, I couldn't get PiMP to run right on either of my rigs, the 290X rig won't boot up PiMP while the other rig only detects one GPU. I believe both GPUs in the other rig are working because both fans run. Windows mining isn't working either due to a faulty 290X on one rig and a copy of Windows that won't activate on the other rig, so looks like it's time for the parts to go.

Bump. The 7970s are relisted on eBay since I am finally able to acquire antistatic bags. However, I can't ship out three cards to three different sellers at the moment, so if ordered on eBay, no free shipping.

HIS Radeon HD 7970 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/221467950946
Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/221467954620
VisionTek Radeon HD 7970 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/221467955173

Deleted the eBay listings again because the antistatic bags were lost in transit... Ugh.

One last bump up... to see if anyone wants these cards. If not, then I'll just keep them as keepsakes, or save them for a future rig. Remember, free shipping if bought here. Tongue
