Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Police Arrest Man For Being Gay, Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison And 450 Lashes…

Manama: A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced an homosexual man to three years in prison and 450 lashes for using his Twitter account to promote homosexual contacts.

The man, 24, was arrested after he posted several tweets calling for homosexual relations and expressing his readiness to meet gay men, local daily Al Watan reported on Tuesday.

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, the religious police, was alerted about the tweets and was able to apprehend the young man after it set him up using an undercover agent.

His mobile phone was searched and several “immoral” pictures were discovered, prompting the Commission to refer his case to the public prosecution.

I think it's in one go, but never heard of 450 lashes, I know that for adultery it's 100 lashes and it's really applied in very few countries, and holycities

No one will be able to endure that many lashes in a single day. The maximum punishment in a single day is around 100 lashes. But even in these cases, I have heard of mortalities resulting from the injuries and shock.

Drop the popcorn. Anything related to the words "islam" and "muslim" is Pink Mafia's ultimate kryptonite. Nah not about Saudi Arabia, for a couple of reasons, some of them are geopolitical of course and others can be related to the fact that when you talk about Saudi Arabia especially about Mecca and Medina, you are basically talking about the Vatican of the Muslim world, and as such the condemnation wouldn't make sense in this aspect.

But Islam is way more than that! Islam is a political system, for today it would be considered something close to Fascism with Commercialism as main economic trend, and is not open for interpretation. It's based upon the example of the "perfect Muslim", Muhammad, and that example is a trail of blood and violence.

Basically goes like this:
"It's wrong to kill people, you're misinterpreting your religion."

Christians will just find something to support them to kill people at the Jewish books (AKA Old Testament), but Jesus killed nobody.

Militant Islamists in Somalia have shot dead a Muslim woman for refusing to wear a veil, her relatives say.

Ruqiya Farah Yarow was killed outside her hut near the southern Somali town of Hosingow by gunmen belonging to the al-Shabab group, they say.

The militants had ordered her to put on a veil, and then killed her after returning and finding she was still not wearing one, the relatives said.

An al-Shabab spokesman denied the group had killed the woman.
