It can be used in order to parcipate in signature campaigns and earn way more bitcoins, not just to set up a scam.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

Won't the account in question get banned, I am sure it is very easy to track which account the user is trying to sell, making the account completely useless...

Don't be fooled by this, allowing bids by PM means OP need not sell the account if bids on the thread do not meet his expected price, anyone can register a newbie account and place a higher bid. This is pointless.
