If I plan on running multiple RockMiners would it be a better idea to hook them all up to a single PSU? If so, how should I go about doing this?

The biggest commercially available PSU is 1600W or so, so you would only be able to support 3. It would make more sense to buy the more economical 1200W ones and put 2 on there. |

It also depends on how much cabling and what kind of PSUs you will be using. Not a big deal with modular but non-modular smaller ones equals cable mess.

Does the R-box have wireless web connection?
I just bought one for a friend... I was hoping he wasn't as insanely lazy as he is.. I might end up having to set it up.. I could watch youtube like I did with my S1's.

for the r-box you will run many of them with the large PSU however if it fails you loose them all.Try to power 5 at a time more stable and not much money.

I'm starting out with 7. I will probably add more though. Would it just be a better idea running them each on their own power supply they come with. |

Same basic idea would apply. Buy a good gold power supply. Figure out how much wattage the 12V rail supplies at max. Multiply that times 0.8 to give yourself headroom since PSUs loose their peak output as time goes by. Then you will have the total wattage you can play with so basically just divide that total. With the smaller R-Box's using only 40W or so you can plug a bunch of them onto a 1000W PSU - the cabling would become the main issue. |

here is the deal for r-boxes if you use a plat miner they pull 36-38 watts for 32gh. if you use a little dc wall wart they pull 45-48 watts. I have done long term testing of 6 units with this plat psu  I use these cables purchased from cablez note the side mount which lets them run cooler. this a link to cablez. If you're running a small number of miners it may not be worth it to get a plat PSU as shown above - economically and environmentally it doesn't make sense.
If you're going to be running 20 of these things, then yes it makes sense to get one nice PSU instead of 20 "wall-warts".
