Can anyone who is all synced up do a getpeerinfo for me?  I am trying to sync so I can withdraw from bittrex and help get the blockchain moving again, but I keep getting stuck at block 5000.  Thinking I maybe connecting to a node still running the old version?

Damn, still stuck at block 5000.  Should I be using the version of the wallet in the ANN or the one posted yesterday?  Because I am using the latest build.

"Boy, I should buy up a whole bunch of these TECH coins.  Look how cheap they are versus the total supply.  This will surely get pumped over 100k satoshis"  Roll Eyes

Ya win some, ya lose some I suppose.

I don't know. Still stuck. I'll give it a couple hours and see if it ever syncs.  My plan was to withdraw a little bit every time I see a block move, that way there will be a lot of chunks of coins to use for PoS, and maybe we can get this blockchain chugging along within a few days.  Anyone who is synced up could upload the blockchain to dropbox and I can get my plan in motion quicker.

Notice how many are still running the version that is stuck at 5000, not good.

Anybody have any idea why the blockchain is moving so slowly?  Is it too many nodes on the old wallet?

is that the one that was uploaded by dev yesterday ? my wallet just hit 5048 a couple hours ago, and I was able to receive some from bittrex the other day lol it just took forever to get them.

tweets about the new wallets... we need to get people on the new wallets if it's going to start moving faster (I'm not a coder so I can't see if there is a diff issue thats holding us back)

sorry about my comment yesterday when dev told us to tweet, I was frustrated... and was thinking dev meant random hype tweets, not specific ones to inform people to upgrade to new wallets (which I had already done for previous fix)

get the twitter hype campaign going only 940 blocks until proof of stake!

PoW ended at 5000 and the wallet fix was to get PoS started at 5000 instead of 6000, so what we are experiencing is a lack of coins on the network that are staking since so many are on pools and exchanges and won't be staking any time soon because of the very very slow blocks and long time before maturity.

Latest official wallets:

updated windows-QT: 1.0.1.1

https://mega.co.nz/#!vI5jTaZL!WFk9NO6znmcmRRGL79B6x_7-Xyi5v8EUh0BeVFcs6ng

Updated Mac wallet: 1.0.1.1

https://mega.co.nz/#!McJEGDiT!WgEo-Z8QzSwWQiwlvT4pvtqyK_6ana4iB64shmGNjkk

The OP needs to be updated and a new block explorer is needed.  Who did it originally?  Time to learn more stuff, I guess...

also "netstakeweight" : 176 looks like stake in the network is dropping as coins stake, mature coins not coming fast enough...  EVERYONE PLEASE UPDATE!!!  Get your stake.

There is a problem with the staking transition from PoW... dev?  well, they do compile updated windows wallets when we fix a problem, but so far...   Huh  not much for communication

BEST NODES I SEE:

fully up to date (software and blocks):

80.1.123.250:60311
98.234.71.71:54986
24.85.126.229:57697
60.231.2.86:60949

has the latest block but not the latest software

86.174.84.3:49524
203.166.232.99:50367
107.170.160.40:60591
82.245.42.49:57697
136.142.16.144:61266

All these should be OK to sync to for now.  The difference between the latest and first update is just that it will let coins stake sooner, so first update can keep up with latest blocks right now but may not accept them eventually once newer coins stake.

WTF is going on with this coin?? I bought 1.5 BTC worth of techcoin when it hit trex and now it's worth less than .1 BTC!! How the fuck does a coin even fall that much and what are the devs doing to repair it??

There is a problem with the staking transition from PoW... dev?  well, they do compile updated windows wallets when we fix a problem, but so far...   Huh  not much for communication

BEST NODES I SEE:

fully up to date (software and blocks):

80.1.123.250:60311
98.234.71.71:54986
24.85.126.229:57697
60.231.2.86:60949

has the latest block but not the latest software

86.174.84.3:49524
203.166.232.99:50367
107.170.160.40:60591
82.245.42.49:57697
136.142.16.144:61266

All these should be OK to sync to for now.  The difference between the latest and first update is just that it will let coins stake sooner, so first update can keep up with latest blocks right now but may not accept them eventually once newer coins stake.

thanks for the help

Thank you for this info!  My wallet was out of sync until I added the following nodes to techcoin.conf.

This coin is suffering from dev neglect.

Finally have a word on the block explorer "block explorer is offline due to none payment"

should have posted that up in the forum when u took it down.

so, nothing was paid out, we can't expect it to be updated, nobody is gonna want to pay hundreds of dollars for it.  Time to regroup and plan a community stakeholder takeover.

I am starting work on block explorer hosting since that will at least get Allcoin back on board.  I have secured a cheap domain name, next is cheap hosting, then learning.

Block 5053 now "netstakeweight" : 143,  <-  still falling.
