I'm sure dev will have a bounty for a logo contest. Be nice for it to look professional.

how bout this?

ORIGINAL LINK: http://agitki.ru/blog/counter_strike/2012-05-22-194

That is great compared to what we got.
That should replace what we have immediately. Both front page, and wallet.

Then we should throw a contest for sure!
Make it a community event.
See what everyone else can come up with, create, or find online.
(that is not copyrighted. get consent from FanArt authors first. etc.)

Hopefully Dev will bounty for that Wink

@InitialDat, hard to say because it is a Russian site.
I would say contact the author or website admin.... but they might not speak english.

Plenty of forums and English websites with CS pics available.
The game has only been available for around 15 years now, I imagine there must be something out there we can use Tongue

I think you can since the website provides links to the image. I was afraid of the Counterstrike TM, but I searched TM's r&r and found this:

"Collateral use. You’re Brand X. You make lawn mowers. I repair lawn mowers. I’m perfectly ok advertising the fact that I repair Brand X lawn mowers. I just can’t imply that you have approved me or that we have a relationship that doesn’t exist. That usually means I can use your name but not your logo, and only so much of your name as is needed to get my message across. You have no say in the matter, unless my use suggests you have authorized me as a provider of repairs or the like."

We should focus our brand recognition.

CSC is casino coin  Undecided
running around calling these CSO coins... CSCoins... will confuse everyone.
I think we should stick with one name.
Take several steps away from calling the coins themselves CSCoins, and leave that to being the Dev's name alone.

Further with that campaign, we should take every step to call them what they are.
CounterStrike:Online coins.
Spell it out everywhere that we market it. So that people can read it.

We are listed on CoinMarketCap now.
Quote
181    CSCoin    CSO    $ 31,300    $ 0.006458    4,847,020 *

That says nothing to anybody skimming by.
Nothing to draw people in.
To push the CounterStrike button that so many people have.
If it said:
Quote
181    CounterStrike:Online    CSO    $ 31,300    $ 0.006458    4,847,020 *

Then we would be open for business  Wink

"Collateral use. You’re Brand X. You make lawn mowers. I repair lawn mowers. I’m perfectly ok advertising the fact that I repair Brand X lawn mowers. I just can’t imply that you have approved me or that we have a relationship that doesn’t exist. Yes, the TM in that case refers to the fact the "CounterStrike" name itself, is owned.
Who knows about the image.
Still.
It is obviously best to get 100% free and clear images to use.
There is endless fan art out there.
Many authors would be more than happy to agree to free use. If you contact them.
Or maybe someone here has some art/design skills?

Something that very strongly says CounterStrike, and is instantly recognizable to the CS world.
Something that possibly hints at the betting nature of the coin even.

To all dumpers: please shake your hands more, I can't wait to have my 700 SAT buy order filled so that we can then run up over 5K Smiley  It's unbelievable that for 5 minutes nothing is happening and people start dumping. Just be patient, let the DEV breath for a while to deliver something. Exciting times ahead.  Cool

I agree
Also I don't know how popular the logo is
Would look cool if the first page looked similar(not the same) to LeagueCoins https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622801.0 with the graphics for linking to exchanges etc

This logo is amazing. You made itInitial Dat? Smiley CSO should have logo like this, this coin needs to look professional. Gamers like good graphics details.

Sadly, I do not have the talent to do so. I pulled it from the website I posted on the bottom. What's funny is that I found the same coin from Deviant art dated back to '11, a year earlier than the Russian link.

I believe this is the ORIGINAL: http://dj-fahr.deviantart.com/art/Counter-Strike-206591775

But if nothing's happening the volume would soon drop and the coin would be forgotten by folks on bittrex

That's sure, like with any shitcoin. I think that dev of this coin is legit and want to deliver something tangible, not only promises.

Guys. Please.
Avoid triple quotes, or more.
And please, do not quote yourself unless absolutely necessary.

It just clutters the thread up. The Dev needs to read through all that.

Quote only what you need to, and cut images down to a link after they have been seen several times.
Like this;
Quote

We need to build some STEAM (ya awful pun, intended) and get some great ideas rolling in!!
Clean threads help that.
thx

No shitcoin here, but we are in danger of a shittythread starting.
Keep FUD to minimum while we're at it.
No shitty negativity Tongue

Hey man, to my point again, tell me this isn't a racket...

http://xan.v2.dedicatedpool.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

Xanon coin released today , virtually only one pool mining it,,, yep Binaryclock and company raping the latest coin again,,, and guess what its already listed on bittrex,,, yep no voting required so long as binaryclock tells them his mega miners are all lined up, get it listed and we will be dumping the coins asap, Binary makes a butt load of money today, bittrex will make a ton, and yes all the rig renters will be cashing in, no one else can even begin to mine this coin until the feast is over and they move on to the next coin. I think you see the racket I am talking about now. Binary's little circle has destroyed any hopes for the average miner once again, its out of hand. And this shit goes on everyday, I hate to think how much these 3 groups are making. ITS ALL PRE PLANNED TRUST ME. They email they plan and execute like clockwork,,, this just doesn't happen. Plus there was no mention of this coin until today and bam its launched and guess what all the 3 players arrived on time for the kill.... If this isn't a racket I don't know what is,,, Noah was a flop for them, but they still made money just not as much...

MMNC

The players: The Pack of Wolves
Binaryclock: (dedicatedpools)
Bittrex: (jumps when binary tells them to list a coin $$$)
Rig Renters: (The email List of loyalist rig renters and mass farms loyal to binary)
Coin dev: Usually but not always

Losers: all other miners of the world and smaller pool operators and smaller exchanges that are are quite capable of doing a better job than bittrex etc.. Can we stop this? Open for any and all ideas! any good hackers out there want to help? Maybe even Anonymous hackers group?  we may need to fight fire with fire

Just let you guys know we are appreciated you wanted to find a better name or logo for our coin, but the bottom line is we can't use any trademark in our logo or name

Makes sense.
But we should still, at the very least, avoid CSCoin.
No offence Wink
But it does mix up with casino coin much too easily.

CSOcoin works for me.....
or
CS:online coin.....
still wish we could use something with CounterStrike actually in there.
Maybe someone else can come up with something better.

Definitely think we should have a contest to get some better artwork happening for the front page, and for the wallet.
Wouldn't take much to freshen things up around here Tongue

I am not so sure about the actual Logo/Coin itself... honestly, it may be basic but it doesn't bother me too much.
Actually works pretty well there. IMHO.

#CSO is fine, but name should be something more relevant, I dont know if it has something to do with trademark, I remember a coin named #Starbucks or something like that.

Nothing is wrong with our 3 letter abbreviation. CSO.
That part is great.

But the long form name attached to that everywhere right now, is CSCoin.
like on the CoinMarketCap:
Quote
179    CSCoin    CSO    $ 33,536    $ 0.006919    4,847,080 *    $ 6,118

CS:online **MIGHT** not break any copyrights. But it probably does.
Even just CSOcoin works for me.
Not perfect, but it is better than CSCoin considering casino got there first.

Then we must let people know that #CSCoin is CounterStrike Coin.

Go on and retweet!
