wallet stop sync for hours..any idea why?
Hi, If you download a new wallet it can take hours to sync up as it has to update the block chain. That is all the transactions to date have to be copied onto that wallet. Given it did sync up the problem can't be your firewall. If the internet is down that will stop it syncing. I can't thing of any other reason off hand. Always be sure to backup your wallet.dat file so you can restore if everything goes wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uQ65Dgcb5sfor instructions. If I think of anything else I'll post. Let me know if it's a problem again.

Hi Greg, congratulations. Very good idea (Gambling). I think the next step for you is to set up a better (browser) casino with poker, black jack, roulette. Some years ago I made a conception for an advertising point system (get points on buying real things) with an iplementation to a browsergame to buy ingame content. This market (ingame content) is going to the moon. I live in germany and here (after a change in law) the community for farming games and simulators etc reaches giant sizes. Tv broadcasters make real good money in advertising and running such games included the gambling sector. So get you a more or less cheap clone of an browser/app game and host it, or get a connection to an existing platform (poker, farmville etc) and make them a good offer. You have the advantage of getting real money with increasing value to the players. The point is, if you start this you´re not addicted to coin exchanges because people start trading coins on other marketplaces (ebay etc) and then the exchanges get interested in your coin. So, enough text . Usually I sell ideas and concepts, but this little hints are free and I hope you get the most out of your project. good luck and best ratohe and last (don´t be annoyed) pls contact a dtp prof.... Hi Ratohe, That's really good information. I was emailed by a guy who runs a Mine craft server who wanted to link up. I'm also talking to a programmer about doing a poker game. One of the guys involved (Peter) is seeing about other revenues like adds. We're hoping we can get enough people involved from outside the mining community that GCoin can be more mainstream. The hope is that people will use their mobile phones to exchange the currency mostly. We had to do a browser game / wallet as the Apple apps doormen didn't like our runners I think by dtp you mean the poor layout of the www.gcoin.us site ? That needs some work for sure. Many thanks for the information and advice. Makes a lot of sense to me Greg wow what alot of efforts there.i really like it when youre doing anything to make this coi succesful XD (though my question has not been answered in facebook so ill ask here.i tried mining with no fancy video card, and it said 150k per 2 minutes.ive been mining for about 1-2hrs but i did not receive any coins????why?) Hi, I don't see your question on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/infogcoin. Anyway, I have the question now The way it works is that all people mining are looking for that block. At the moment using a reasonably fast CPU (dual core) you will probably get around one block per day. If you introduce a video card that will shoot up. Dual video card will get better results again. There is no need for a mining pool yet. I do have one ready to go. If you download the android app or play the browser slots you will get more coin too. Between both you can collect plenty without spending your money on expensive ATI radeon cards. Best Greg ahhhh i see....then u just guessed its every 2 minutes???cant really use my gpu cause im scared of it being fried Hi, it is set to produce a block every two minutes but the question is who will find that block. If you were the only miner you would get all the blocks every two minutes. My job has been assembling Computers for a long time. I've overseen 100,000+. Any processor that blew would be handed to me. I don't think I've seen more than 10 returned. I would be very confident your processor will be just fine. Even if the fan stopped spinning the computer should shut down. One customer asked me if they should be careful backing up data on a computer they were mining on. My answer is that they should be doing those backups anyway. GPU mining is with a video card. Did you want to consider that ?

Don´t play with the voltages and on ati always look on the temprature (displayed in the miner) and your card will do it fine.

If you still up to the mining seeking process, I'd propose http://www.1gh.com/This is a nice anonymous pool, which lets you use your wallet address as username. If I were you, I'd contact them.

I never tried a voltage change.

Hi, thanks. I'm just looking at pools now. I used www.multipool.us myself a good bit. I'll have a scope around 1gh.com so.

Hey bud.......are you aware that the download service you are using for the mining files is trying to install some malware looking plugin in the users browser? I think a different service for file sharing should be used if possible, gonna give people a bad feeling to see that!

No problem. I'm going to upload a few pointers about CGminer later that got chopped from video 4. The miner stopped my video recording.
