Fair to have a GPU miner? Fair would be to start with only a CPU miner. Going straight to GPU already cuts out half the people that can only CPU mine. That's not very fair and neither is the cryptocurrency world, so you should expect that.

not possibile, because a programmer can easily make this algo works with ccminer/sgminer(hell i'm not even a coder, and i'm near to make it work, i just need to figure out a part in the code), better to start with gpu miner directly

Yeah I do actually know how to do it myself (I do code Smiley), however I don't even have a GPU mining rig set up, money and all that. But still, I was just pointing out all these people complaining that it's not fair is a bit silly. Like I said, my only real option is to rent some hash, but need to wait for sites to host it.

if an original idea why would you mine 60% of the coins in  7 days, hardly gives anyone time to find out about it.

based on the distribution model i will not participate

Check out my coin Photon

I don't mind, I am pretty sure Aznaboy or savale won't mind too... yes lets do it  Grin

(at least nobody will accuse dev, to rape the coin with a gpu, while it is said cpu only)

I like the idea to start with CPU only, but it won't work since a GPU miner is (quite) easy to make. people with coding skills will build their own GPU miner and will have lot's of coins.

some good news:
Thanks to DJM34 we have a ccminer (for NVIDIA) available at the launch  Cool

Haha, I don't mind to be honest if GPU is available, I'd just like to rent some hash from the start. But a standalone CPU miner would be really really handy from the start.

EDIT: Savale, any news on rig rentals?

Hopefully there is Smiley I already set up my 10 workers for my 10 CPU miners, they'll likely bring tiny khash so I'll still probably be looking to rent some hash straight away.

can you release source for GPU miner a littlebit before launch ?
so we can have time to compile it

Thanks

not hashing, folding and curing (check FLDC merged-folding! reuse good GPUs)
