My guess is most people weren't online when the actual launch happened. Normally I don't engage in name calling on the forums but the dev is either lazy or incompetent (my vote on the latter). The so called wallet had/has dogecoin logo attached to it. Then the miner testing was done on the main net rather than the testnet allowing 70-80 blocks to be mined even before the coin was launched. So anyone mining with a view other than dumping it when it debuts on the exchange, stop now, there is no future for this coin.

Actually, the launch was pretty decent compared to the average launches these days. The dogecoin logo in the installer is just an image which got left over. In fact I think it's funny how people responded to that while some devs are using other coins' complete code instead of images and nobody cares (you decide which is worse).
The miner testing happened on testnet, although the first 70 or so blocks were indeed mined early because someone compiled the wallet before the password was released. Basically anybody who is upset about that instamined 30.000 coins while so far over 700.000 coins were mined is pretty much just jelous it wasn't him. Either way, it is silly to claim it can't have a future.
This line of argument is why I love frequenting the altcoin board. So basically what you are saying is if it is not worse than the most shitcoins out there, it is good? Yep, thats the low level every coin should aspire to. Why bother doing something in a better way when you can be mix existing algos (to actually not be x11 or x13 or x20 or x99), claim it to be fresh algo.

I think its idiotic to claim people are being jealous. Its just another coin in the wild, missed it? Meh! happens all the time. Its just that people should be aware of it. But if your arguements are to used as a yardstick well however silly it may seem to you, lets talk 3 mths down the line.

I am getting only 3.5 MHs for my 280x on PIMP 1.5.51 with the following config. Miner compiled from this source https://github.com/savale/sph-sgminer_fresh. Someone told me I should get 4.5 Mhz with this clock/mem speed. What gives?

The fork from aznboy84 is optimized to do about 4.5~4.6 Mh/s. The original one does your current hash rates....

Anyone can confirm the 15-20% less energy consumption yet?

For a 6 750 Ti rig, for nicehash and uro coin which are both x11, I get a watt meter reading of 395 watts. For freshcoin, I'm getting around 370 watts (reading fluctuates between 353 to 384 watts)

Do you mean 370W is for the whole rig with 6 cards in it?

No need to revisit the coin in 3 months, I never said it's going to be a guaranteed success. I was saying that just because ~2% of the coins that are being distributed in the first 24 hours got mined by someone before launch is really not that big of a deal. If you're really frequenting this section and you think this launch was bad you must be quite busy bashing all the coins outh there. Especially so if you take the time to spread nonsense, jump onto conclusions and tell people what to do.

So let's revisit your issues:
- dogecoin logo: yep, that's a leftover, an oversight, will it kill the coin? please...
- 60 block instamine; 30 non-empty blocks out of 1410 for the first 24 hours: hardly a reason to lose sleep over;
- reused mixed algo: unfortunately this is the new trend - fresh at least had a logical reasoning behind picking the algos.

Not your keys, not your coins!

Hello, can someone help me?
I have single 280X and suprnova pool sets diff to 16, it is too high, i have one share in our xD. Why diff so high?
Currently i'm mining on http://trexpool.com, it is have normal diff, but poll hashrate so low.

There is variable diff on suprnova..  Just give it about 2 min and it will adapt diff down until you submit shares accordingly.
