Wow. That list is already impressive!
Who would have thought 2-3 years ago that Bitcoin will have any chance to achieve this? The future looks bright.

i-P mart is pretty big in Malaysia and they recently announced that they would accept Bitcoins. Mart Tang, the CEO of i-Pmart is very supportive of the digital currency. Also Monoprix, one of the biggest supermarket chains in France is also accepting Bitcoin.

If bitcoin users were to purchase as much as they can from these businesses using only bitcoin then the argument for accepting bitcoin would be that much stronger.

It's nice to see all of these companies accepting the future. I just wish more "gaming" websites would start following and getting their butts on track. For example, Jagex, the company that runs RuneScape still hasn't even started talking about this. I think we can all agree that the user base of bitcoins are the ones that use the internet frequently. And what better people to start accepting bitcoins than gaming companies?

this should show companies that by accepting bitcoin they can increase their revenue and cut costs associated with processing payments

Thanks, a list like this is badly needed.
Is it possible to add to each company some measure of how big it actually is? Some names are instantly recognizable, some not so much (to me anyway). Maybe also the date it started accepting Bitcoin.

There was a great reaction when both overstock and expedia started accepting bitcoin and several people were saying that they hadn't purchased anything from them in the past but will now and would pay in bitcoin.

Latvian airline airBaltic has become the world’s first airline to accept Bitcoin as payment for its tickets to 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Russia and the CIS. As announced recently, airBaltic achieved a net profit of EUR +1 million for the full year of 2013, one year ahead of the initial business turnaround schedule. airBaltic serves 60 destinations with direct flights from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. If other companies continue to accept Bitcoin in short period of time, Bitcoin will very soon become mainstream and this will also increase the value of Bitcoin again, media will talks more about it, more people will become confident in bitcoin... .) I can see bright future for Bitcoin.

... Gold and other precious metals seller Provident Metals will be the FIFTH company I know of (in the USA) where you can buy gold, I read that they will accept BTC starting sometime in August: www.providentmetals.comAs far as I know they are the only ones who sell 1 kg gold bars (now approx. $42,000 each)... * * * Other recommended precious metals dealers who sell for BTC: https://amagimetals.com/https://agoracommodities.com/https://www.goldsilverbitcoin.com/ <--- I bought a 0.25 oz Gold Eagle from them.

This week I saw Overstock.com's new commercial during Monday Night Football on ESPN (which was probably pretty expensive advertising), and on the last screen they say "now accepting Bitcoin"
Pretty cool that it is making it's way to television ads

I didn't hear about Time. I was actually surprised to hear about Microsoft, I wasn't expecting adoption this soon from them. Seems like the bigger corporations are tip toeing their way in...
