Are you an optimist or a pessimist now that auction has mostly completed, and why?  Obviously we don't know the price yet, but I tend to be optimistic.  I didn't see how people thought the btc were going to go under market price, which I why I went long with max leverage @ 581 and bought all the way up to 620  Cool

I find it interesting that people have been calling for a july bubble for months now, and this auction seems to line up perfectly with that theory.  We had months of pent up good news, and I think we just needed a major catalyst to get this train going again.  There's definitely going to be another bear trap or 2 before the official start of the bubble, but I really see this auction as bullish news.

Short with caution.

I believe this auction is definitely good news for the price of bitcoin, especially since it seems that it was one bidder who bought up all those coins. It does appear that we may be at the start of a sustained rise that could see the price hitting the $1k mark before the end of the summer.

Especially since it seems they'll be used to build Bitcoin infrastructure.

The general publicity and US government legitimization are also positives.

Agree, agree, agree!  This result is good news.  Plus quite a few bidders who thought they may get coins at a discount didn't get coins at all.  If they want them they'll now have to make open market purchases.

One winning bidder who doesn't understand bitcoin's problems and bought the 30k mainly for his son.
All others probably did their research before placing the bids, and had bid well below market price.
Conclusion: no dumping of the SR coins, neutral to market in the short term.

Sometimes, if it looks too bullish, it's actually bearish

Definitely optimist. Scandal, whispering and gossip about Bitcoin world increases its popularity and don't believe me or judge me as crazy, lot's of good news happened after the auction, are those just casuality ?

If some people/corporations are willing to buy BTC30000 that should be a good bullish statement.
Most sheeple follow the herdleader, so I would tend to think the following thought will trigger buying "If 5 people/companies just bought BTC30000 then it must be a good investment... let's buy!".

As I am invested in bitcoin aswell I will remain an optimist until it hits $1 or $1M  Cool

sideway-ist. I think will take a while until the positive effects of the auction and others positive news make the btc price increase above 700

highly doubt it. i believe the whole thing about above market price was a lie.
if they realy paid that much , they would proove it instantly, and push the price up.
theyre covering up the facts, and that will lead to price drop  < 600$ til end of the month
sure hope im wrong, but doubt it.

Does not compute. Simply illogical.

Makes no sense in my eyes either. I don't get that they would "proove it instantly". (Assuming "prove")

It was one of this events causing negative FUD and that had to be surpassed, now that it's over the general feeling is positive and we might start bubbling at anytime Smiley

I have been optimistic for a while - before the auction was a bit worried about what the next few weeks might bring following, but given the outcome and apparent motivations of the guy that won it, I'm feeling more optimistic afterwards.
