"the (UK) government has persuaded ISPs to introduce web filters that claim to protect children from content they shouldn't see online. In reality, filters block much more than they should leading to the censorship of information."

One of those sites is this website.

I just checked the site again, and it seems Plusnet is no longer blocking bitcointalk.

LOL as a comment maybe this forum really should be considered an "Adult" one considering the amount of "cam" services and the NSFW in off-topic and even service sub-forums.

This actually disgusts me. I know this is just a default setting, but still, the fact that they enable the protection by default makes it seem like I'm back in high school or something. But interesting that this is blocked too.

The thing is though just like in school we'll all get round this bullshit in about 5 seconds, I'm blocked from Kick Ass Torrents and Pirate Bay, doesn't mean I can't go on their whenever I want Tongue

In my games design course they resorted to disabling the right click because we always got round their silly attempts to block us off from doing what we wanted, so one of the guys in our group went and hacked into the administrators account and the guy even came along to tell him off lol Cheesy when I think about it we were way smarter than any one of those guys teaching at the place.
