The last tweet from @getsmartcoin is from Mar 23. Anyway to take this over or to start a new twitter account and start promoting this again? Announce the X11 relaunch and any other plans to start. Anyone voting on any of the exchanges? I quickly saved the gif from the first post as a png. Maybe use this instead of the current logo which is too washed out almost like a watermark. I like that but it should be in a light steel blue. Just MY opinion. Light steel blue may be better, but is this better than what we have? I can change the wallet logo to this image easily, but someone would have to make a new graphic otherwise.

I don't like the proposed logo, it looks cheap and altcoin like. Current logo is fine, could need a little bit of a refresh though.

Ok, the first image is what we have, good but I think too washed out on light backgrounds. Second image I increased the brightness and contact. Third image I did so even more. Are the 2nd or 3rd any better or something else or keep it as is?

Smartcoin needs something to separate itself from this sea of endless trash cryptocoins...and currently it is one of them.

No shit, Sherlock? You're a smart one, huh? Well why don't you help us with some ideas then? Here we go... 1st - ask cryptsy to delist. It will help to kick miners with autosell [ON] on exchange, 2nd - return when X11 is ready. Otherwise we will see 20 sat. very soon. Also, new wallet and X11 will help for few moments but without "hype", Value of coin will return to the same level.

If X11 will be out in 2 weeks I don't see the point in delisting. Just about every alt is taking a beating right now from low volume. If someone buys .5 btc worth the price more than doubles.
Having Cryptsy tweet that the SMC wallet will be down for maintenance while it transitions over to X11 will create some interest. How much notice does Cryptsy need for the hard fork?
Any thoughts on incorporating a block explorer and network difficulty/strength stats directly into the wallet?
How about invoicing functions? Vendor sends invoices to you with amount, due date and pay address and you can select it from within your wallet to pay.
I don't suggest these hold up X11 though and that you consider reducing the max supply. Don't let mining end soon, keep it going at a slow and steady rate like bitcoin so mining is around for decades out. If you really want POS make it hybrid POW/POS as I think there are enough POS only coins out there and being able to mine a coin helps keep interest in it (IMO). Don't POS coins typically rely on a multi-pool that pays out in their coin? Not sure we want that dependency.

The X11 fork has been tested and is now in place. The main branch code has been updated, and should be updated by miners and exchanges. The new wallet release can be downloaded here: https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/0.9The upcoming fork includes the following changes: * a transition to the X11 mining algorithm starting on July 24, 2014 at 00:00 UTC * block time spacing increase to 2 minutes * block subsidy reduction to 16 coins per block

I'm using the smartcoin.conf that came with the new wallet.

Out of curiosity, what ideas have you offered?

By the way, I responded to the last inquiry about the ECSDA key, it was added in the last release. alert.cppstatic const char* pszMainKey = "0480b24992f1ae124c8ad5287ada75f4aad639fd1b7c55a3806035cbca2e4193885698e2b139200a4f7006cd7f1f052012356174f3d9573572d76b0a23df178edd";
Is that what you had in mind?

Yes, the change in the subsidy reduction formula also changes the expected total coin supply. I have updated the coin stats in the original post and the readme in the github repo. The expected total coin supply after the fork should be ~24.5 million.
