You can still access localbitcoins using Tor, VPN or proxies.

Does it not say how you can possibly get it resolved? Have you tried emailing support? Was it the regular IP you log on from?

You can still access localbitcoins using Tor, VPN or proxies.

Won't many of the tor nodes be banned? On some exchanges if you log in via tor or from a proxy that has previously been used you might get locked out of your account in a similar fashion to this.

You can find "how tor works" in the page. https://www.torproject.org/about/overview
It may not be enough if you have been targeted by FBI though. http://www.wired.com/2013/09/freedom-hosting-fbi/ and http://www.redstate.com/2014/01/27/tech-at-night-fbi-winning-the-war-on-tor-bitcoin-foundation-vice-chairman-arrested/

Just wait a day or two and try again. Your ISP will likely issue a new IP by then or localbitcoins will remove the ban. The ban is to stop bruteforcing not genuine users.

Your IP is hidden when using Tor properly. The IP of the exit node is revealed to the site. Get the Tails OS. It's lightweight and easy to use. There is a windows tor browser bundle, but it is not nearly as idiot proof as Tails. https://tails.boum.org/

If you HODL store it CODL!

Do u think the windows tor browser bundle does not hide IP properly ? I was also reading about TOR bridges. Are they really required to be used ? I'm not into any illegal activity. But I dont want to attach site cookies with my IP or reveal my Public IP to every site owner. Does not simple windows tor browser bundle serve this purpose ?
