Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

damned scrypt
dev did you see all of cyrptocurrencies except LTC
they dorpped 99% in price

Also wondering why use scrypt? Wouldn't using a more energy efficient algo be better.

Also people thinking this a scam are wrong, i thought too but like me most of your failed to actually read whats written in the via coin website and blog.

About the 75 btc investor, it is a big share of the market but in every crypto there's a whale. At least you can be happy that a big player is interested in this coin.

If thats the dev investment so be it, isn't he allowed to invest? If you had that kind of cash wouldn't you be investing that kind of cash? I doubt it is the dev. I mean if he buys that much and you think hes scamming, then your an idiot. There's almost 600 btc invested wouldn't be easier to take that instead?

Sorry for any typos or weird sentences, iphone keyboard sucks ass lol

IPO temporarily postpone the end time, in many projects ipo can see, it turned out that this IPO is to get more BTC, the last are absconding.

IPO is the first time the rules specified arbitrarily change the rules of the game, the integrity of the development team is at least questionable.

I do not want to invest in a project is not honest, I am not optimistic about this project, please return my investment.

I'm pretty sure you know what "no refunds" means. Did you do your due diligence before investing?

viacoin is a scam, like visacoin, they are a gang.
Investments need to be cautious.

bad news, really?

My only concern for this coin is the ipo amount is so high that it pushes the price of the 10% coins up so much when miners dump its surely going to be cheaper. I know its takes longer to mine than other coins but I've seen miners sell immediately at some horrendous prices. Make the ipo 20% and problem solved.

Look at the block rewards, its going to take a long time to even mine a million coins.

I see your point, but the investors are carrying 10% and should be selling from launch until after all the miners jump in,  so the price will have to stabilize as no-one knows the value of the coin as much as the investors.  Plus I'm expecting the dev not to sit around idly for that long so I imagine upgrades and new announcements to come- judging by what he's done in the past.

Yes but the dev is amazed at how much btc has been invested into the ipo yet keeps the original 10% of coins, am I just worrying too much is there any problem with this?

Honestly, only thing I'm worried about is that he seems to be alone in this, would like to see a team growing- even if he did think he's a better dev than anyone he could hire or team up with, maybe marketing or specific planning steps during this period would be good from Btcdrak.

But, in terms of safety of investment.. I feel pretty safe judging what I'm seeing.

IPO time change is a bad faith conduct, deceived investors early. Investors and development team must have integrity, and that needs to learn like NEM.

the only people saying that the IPO time changed are the idiots who didnt bother to read the OP.

you, sir, are an idiot.
Idiot would think someone else is an idiot, would never admit that he is an idiot.

I believe:

a. whichever whale wanted to participate in the ICO, they are already in. i.e. ICO will close at lim 600BTC.

b. as a result of the ICO price, minners will jump on viacoin, resulting in substantial hashrate.  i.e. less risk of 51% attacks and so forth.

c. if one whale is ego-maniac, then we probably have 2=3 more whales that are more discrete and intelligent i.e. the ego-mania whale is less likely to dump bcs all eyes are on him whereas other whales can do so quietly without inflicting panic on the markets and lowering the price themselves.

d. one ego-maniac whale is bad; two is a real disappointment, and >=3 is a potential killer.  i.e. imho close the ICO.

Judging by lack of supply to miners if all ico holders just hodl then by way of a bubblr mania we can easily see spikes towards $1 or more as new services are announced.

so what you are experience may not be unique.  perhaps there is a linux bug too.
