This, if I recall correctly, was only true for the last one.

Seems Doge had his best period already. Any reasons it should go up? Not following communities closely these days.

The community and the devs are still active. Discussion about PoS is still going on, and there are awesome projects currently like Voidspace the Steam game which uses Dogecoin as in-game currency, and the lunar rover project were dogecoin-sponsored robots will litteraly race on the moon.

Plus, /r/dogecoin is quite fun and positive lately, it seems the troll have gone away.

Now at block #299992, so the halving will be in less than 8 minutes!

Less profits will be leeched by multipools from Dogecoin Smiley

You called it, nice going, doge hovering around 40 satoshi from mid 40s earlier.

I think the issue is that while doge's block reward reductions do reduce the selling pressure they do nothing to encourage adoption.  So there is a little pump before hand but no real ability to follow through.

Doge price seems flat before this halving ..

I was hoping that it will drop to 25 or some .. but perhaps this will happen after halving Wink or ... or I am wrong and I will be happy even more.

For now I am waiting to see what will happen.

Not sure which way it will go. There's 90 BTC of doges who need to be bought before reaching 45 sat, but there's also 120 BTC ready to buy doges at 33 or higher. Wether it goes up or down, volume will most likely be huge Cheesy

Indeed a Doge volume is pretty high all the time.  A number of trades done by doge traders is huge. Every hour hundreds of doges are traded... but it seems not helping the price to go up...

I think what Dogecoin needs is more adoption to actually buy things with it. Devs should also think about getting the coin accepted by more retailers together with adding new features.

I think that the biggest problem of Dogecoin is a supply . Which is definitely too big.
If there would be 60M things with the value would be different.

But ... at least now have a lot of Dogecoin millionaires Wink

True, so many coins will bring the value down. But at least if they could be spent to buy something, wouldn't that be better?

When we look at Darkcoin and the masternode function. The implementation is more an issue than something really useful, and operational. The only goal they have in mind is to get for free 20% of the new coins generated by the POW. Dogecoin has no scam feature, and is well supported and known, It may come back and get all the attention.
