Thanks for taking a look!

I'm mining with a single Sapphire 7970 and currently am getting about 500Mhash/s
Everywhere I look on the compassion charts its saying I should at least be getting 600Mhash/s

What am I doing wrong? By using the AMD VISION Engine Control Center I've used the graphics overdrive to run the card at 1125 MHz to only gain about 100Mhash/s
I'm using GUIMiner as well.  Any tips guys, thanks?!

Which parameters you use?  try -v -w 256 for poclbm, or VECTORS WORKSIZE=256 for phoenix.

Try to get normal Mhash using GuiMiner(OpenCL Miner, poclbm in it). Then you can use any miner that you can find Smiley

ok, step-by-step.

in the OpenCL profile, try to add into "Extra flags" field this:
-v -w 256

Yes, as in I'm getting slower speeds than without the flags.

Also the only drivers/amd things are the installed drivers that came with the graphic card, should I also be looking ino all the SDK stuff I hear about?

Hm. I think so you'd need to use more modern miner like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1721.0
with parameters -v 1 -w 256

You need to work to get the best, it doesn't just happen, and people can't hand it to you.

I've already told you which miners achieve the best hash rates with a 7970.

All you have to do is go read a little bit, and learn.

If you do, by tomorrow you will be hashing away as fast as everyone else who bothered to take the time to educate themselves.

Little flameish man, it is sorta hard to find tutorials and what not for mining...believe me i didn't ask anyone to hand me it, if someones whiling to lend me their time than I will surely capitalize on the opportunity.

The 7970 is new and finding information on it without much background only makes it harder, I appreciate the info that was already given

nick if your overclocoking a card it requires extra power aswell, my 6970 when overclocked by 100mhz actually decreasesmy hashrate from 390 to about 330 unless i give it more juice then i reach 415

Seriously, Holliday has a point there.
Hm. I think so you'd need to use more modern miner like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1721.0
with parameters -v 1 -w 256

This is all what you need. As you do understand english( and typing it perfectly), you can then proceed to the link and start doing what Diablo said. I've been using the exact same parameters with what he's told with my friend's 7970, and it's basing happily at almost 710 mhashes now.

Good luck !
