WHat keeps a larger miner from signing up with all the various pools (assuming there are more than 1) and running 1 miner on each pool? If there were, say, 5 pools, they could easily get to just under 50 Mh/s without an issue.
Thats what I was thinking or simple have a proxy for each new account on the same pool. Hell you can make 10 accounts=10x more mining power=10x more coins earned. It won't be that easy. The pools will be actively monitored and suspicious IP's banned. Given a choice of solo mining a coin with a 1G farm, or creating 100 accounts (100 x 10Mhs) to mine RVS, I think farms will give this coin a miss. So yes, hash restrictions, although not perfect, will work. However, unlike Minerals, the devs do not have direct control of the two pools. So it will boil down to trusting Suprnova and Maxminers, and hoping none of their employees leak the source to some private farm (or farm the coin themselves). One thing everyone must remember is - hashrate restrictions means there will be no whales at the start of trading. Price will take some time to climb as whales must first accumulate their share before starting a pump.

Many seem to forget that the launch of minerals didn't entirely work. IP restrictions were not in place at launch. The coin got raped, saw it with my own eyes. Epic idea but it didn't quite work. It would be something to see a true fair launch. As somebody said, it is very possible to bypass all these measures but I agree that most people will just swerve it. So I'll mine it

So you call it "true fair" to exclude everyone who invested more than you did in mining hardware?

Funny thing about limits, they usually don't work and I think you'll end up limiting yourself more than the people you wanted to limit in the first place. But don't mind me, I just forgot for a second that I'm in the altcoin section and almost started arguing! Silly me.

If you do not like the conditions, why did you here? If a limit does not work, why bother at all ?

It's called egalitarian mining. I guess if you don't like it you are always free to mine something else.

Correct, i'm doing some final stress test(s) with the stratum-server(s).. (And i'm finding and fixing issues all over but should be ready really soon.) I'll let you know once i'm ready, hopefully tomorrow
