I'm wondering if one is ready to pay a premium for virgin BTC compared to used BTC.
With virgin BTC, I mean BTC that have not been transferred from their initial mining wallet. With used BTC, I mean BTC that have been transferred from/to many different anonymous wallets.
If there is a premium, what would that be.
Thx for your input.

It's not tied to any other addresses or purchases. The theory being at some point that unspent satoshi's will be worth more if it's known they weren't used to fund some terrorist plot, or used to purchase drug(s) or something crazy. I know there is at least one bitcoin mixing service that offers "virgin coins" at an additional premium for precisely this reason that operates on the TOR network.

I dont think by the moment those coins could have any more value than not virgin ones, but maybe in the future after several halvings, they could have more vlaue.

I guess if you didnt want your btc (that you bought from coinbase) to be sent to your SR account (or any black market account)...
but then again, you can easily mix coins by going from alt to alts, then exchange to exchange ect..
Hell, if you are doing the right coin(s), you can make money (aka arbitrage).

Maybe not... but will that not depend on the situation one is in ? That will decide upon the value of these coins ? Well i'm still finding things out, it is a learning process

This is silly in my opinion. I'm sure a small few may get into it but I don't see this type of thing catching on. You don't see people looking virgin dollars, do you think their is a market for that aslo? The dollar is used to fund terrorists all over the world.

Same exact reason they would want a "virgin" physical round silver straight from the mint. Never been used for anything illicit, no way to analyze blockchain for associations with other addresses. nice shiny condition, etc. :p

Sorry mate no New Altcoin, During a pub crawl a friend asked me a couple of questions regarding Newly Mined BTC The added value of such a coins... A possible business model to it... ETc... And some of the questions I could answer, some i could not... So with the help of the forum I was able to answer a little more questions

Why would I pay a premium?
The only theoretical advantage would be that you can be sure that those bitcoins have not been used illegally or come from hacked accounts. But I do not see the point still.
We are probably dealing with Dollars and Euros that slip through our hands that have not only been used to by milk and sugar but also that have paid drugs, weapons and maybe even a murderer.

Not sure why new generated coins should cost more... Paper money costs the same if it is brand new or old if it is in circulation . 1$ is still 1$

I myself have been trying to figure this out it is an intriguing notion non the less. I think it is good to think outside the box for new ways to use/exploit Bitcoins but I'm not sure how this is useful at this time.
