Mining hardware, especially for serious mining, is expensive.

A single KnCMiner Neptune unit costs $5,995. That's why buying by shares is so much better. With 10,000 shares per unit, each share costs 59.95¢. This makes shares affordable and buyable in as much quantity as you could want. To compensate for mining costs - namely, electricity, internet, and cooling, as I will host all the units - each share will cost 64¢ and is valid for as long as the unit functions. At current difficulty (14th July 2914) each share will bring a revenue of 0.54¢/day. Thus, break even for the amount of shares is roughly 140 days. However, past those 140 days, everything is pure profit.

In order to make it worth my time, I reserve a minute 100 shares per unit for myself. Of course, I will fund 100 shares' worth. The maximum amount of shares each individual may buy per unit is 2500, as I'd like to reserve more space for poorer investors who cannot fork out as much as others. Payment must be made up-front, and units will be bought when 5,000 shares are purchased. Shipping time is estimated to be 3-4 months, but you will be kept up-to-date via posts on this topic. To save transaction fees, miners' fee, etc, the minimum amount of shares you can purchase is 25 shares.

Share Price: 64¢ or 0.001 BTC, whichever is better to you

For illustration purposes, here's a calculation of what you could make from buying 1,000 shares:

Shares Purchased: 1,000
Cost: 1 BTC or $640
$ per Day: $5.40

Doesn't seem like a lot? Since after break even everything is profit, let's check out how much you'd get in a year:

$5.40 * 365 = $1,971

Better? That's only 1,000 shares. What about 2,500 shares after break even (which remains at around 140 days!):

$1,971 * 2.5 = $4,927.50/year

Better, no? What if we can get five units, and you invest the maximum for all of them?

$4,927.50 * 5 = $24,637/year

That ($24,637) is a whopping $2,053 USD a month.

Payment

If you're interested, please send the amount with no extra for miners' fee to 1KQwwWfuATJZogLTk9nmPNyY4egS1PUvqY then submit your BTC address, BTalk user (if you want to/optional), and the amount sent (in BTC or mBTC please) at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vEMar5sea0RJhArIc3GTMTUpQ9PINUtnShKYe5VL5w0/viewform.

Sorry, what? I did check the difficulty and calculate the cost and break even of such hardware as forementioned.

As I said, current expected break even for the shares is at around 140 days.

Definitely not scammer, maybe slightly stupid, and a newbie to BTalk.

Any advice? I thought it would be fine especially since the share amounts are as low as 0.025 BTC. If you really need escrow, I'd be happy to do it, but not pay the escrow fees? The best escrow fee I've found is 4.9%, I think, so for a $5,400 miner the escrow charges would be ~ $210.
