Chelsea's squad has been f*cked up with. They aren't the threat they used to be. I don't know why they let go of such players, and brought in players that don't bring any more to the team than the old ones. I liked Drogba, Cech, and the rest. Expect them to finish in the middle this season. The big problem is Mourinho, he ruins each team that plays good attractive football. Chelsea has amazing players. Just a waste of good players, they should always attack and try to play attractive football instead of defending.

And then he finally got sold to United. That made me think of how much better teams could do without ridiculous coaches. He ruined Real Madrid badly.

Mata was a loved by the Chelsea fans, and still they sold him.... Real Madrid vs Barcelona games under Mourino were horrible, so many nasty fouls, red cards, etc. And look now, under Ancelotti Real Madrid vs Barcelona is a great match to watch and fair as well.

I wouldn't agree that Chelsea has a bad playing style. I admire Mourinho because of his successes in recent history and now he has complete team. I consider Chelsea to be favorites for Premiership this season. Despite the fact that they play defensive football, they only play it against strong teams. And when strong team face strong and organised defense like Mourinho's is they have serious problem with defeating it. And look at attacking power of Chelsea now. I consider them top 3 in Champions League as well.

I would predict like this: 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. Manchester United 5. Manchester City I might not be objective because I'm Manchester United fan and I would love them to win it but this is as objective as I can get considering that fact.

Manchester United - Swansea 1, Arsenal - Crystal Palace 1, Leicester - Everton 2, QPR - Hull City 1, Liverpool - Southampton 1, Burnley - Chelsea 2,
These are my teams for first round of new season
You don't expect any draw for first week?I'm a Liverpool fan, but there is a chance we might draw against Southampton. On paper, they are no match for us. However, we will be playing with up to four new recruits (Lovren, Manquillo, Can, Lambert). The bench will also see Enrique (out for almost a year), Suso (returning from a year-long loan at Almeria), Borini (also returning from a Sunderland loan) and Ibe (promoted from the Academy). The team might need time to gel. This is even before we consider the injured new recruits - Lallana and Markovic. On the plus side, both Sterling and Coutinho were electric during the pre-season. Btw, is anyone interested in a Fantasy League? I'll tell you right now, Liverpool will win with atleast a two goal difference. Southampton before so many players left was a great team, now not much of it is left. Yes, they bought some players, but these are not from the same quality as the players they have sold. We scraped by with a 2-1 win, but I hope you guys can see my concern now. The Saints deserved at least a draw from yesterday's game. Manquillo failed to keep pace with Johnson on the opposite flank, preventing our centerbacks from moving the defensive line higher. This forced Stevie to retreat, creating a gap between him, Lucas and Henderson, which Southampton took full advantage off. Eventually, Johnson stopped moving up from the left flank to maintain the defensive line, which meant all three midfielders had to drop down as well. This in turn created a gap with the forward line, which made it difficult to make lightning fast transitions, our greatest weapon. After half time, Southampton began double teaming Manquillo, which forced Gerrard to provide cover, at the cost of losing control of the midfield. Even the introduction of Allen failed to stem the tide. With Flanagan injured and Enrique not fully fit yet, Rodgers had to persevere with Manquillo until Moreno is settled. Johnson will also be able to return to the right again once Moreno plays. To be fair, had Lalana and Markovic been fit, Rodgers would have more options late in the game. Silver linings? Lovren played well on his debut, Mignolet's save in the 87th minute was incredible, and 19-year-old Sterling was terrific. One goal, and one assist: http://youtu.be/dQOSNuKe6OI (commentary in Arabic )

Their team is complete and they are "officially" attacking title this season (last season Mourinho was saying that they are not in the race since the beginning). Mourinho's teams, similar to Benitez, controls space. Even without the ball, they typically dictate the pace and flow of a game. It's not pretty on the eyes, but very effective. I feel that Chelsea's chances this season will depend on how Mourinho utilize Fabregas. Fabregas is the key, IMO, not Costa. Fabregas doesn't like to be restricted, and enjoys roaming all over the pitch - which is at odds at how Mourinho likes his CM to play. At Barca, an exasperated Guardiola once said Fabregas is like an anarchist. If Mourinho is able to fully manage Fabregas, they have a good chance of winning the title. Like City, Chelsea has an awesome squad. But, I will be very surprised if City wins it again this season. Although they have made several solid acquisitions, especially Mangala, I think Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have improved significantly. Speaking of Arsenal, they probably have the best midfield in the league. But their problem last season was the absence of a proven goalscorer. After Walcott's injury, Wenger only had Giroud. This season, with Podolski still injured, Wenger will still have to rely on Giroud and Sanogo. While new boy Alexis Sanchez will score a few, I feel Wenger should've invested in another striker. Brendan Rodgers also need to sign another striker soon. Liverpool can't depend Sturridge alone (Lambert is just for cover). While Sterling will chip in a few, we definitely need another proven goalscorer.

There are rumors that Wenger is bringing Eduardo Vargas from Napoli to Arsenal and that Liverpool is buying Falcao. So you got that right, both teams are bringing strikes. I think that then they are done with transfers for now. I am sad that Manchester United didn't bring any top class player because that's what they need. There is enough talent in the team but there is not enough class. Somebody needs to bring those young guys forward and it can't be just one player.

Manchester United didn't start well new Premiership. They lost 1-2 from Swansea. It's seems for them it's still long way to go Not easy job for Van Gaal. I had a free £5 bet left over from the world cup and put it on Swansea to win . Just put an accumulator on with the winnings for Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool to win. Will net me £100 if it comes in. Also put £4 on two others exactly the same as above but for either Newcastle to win or draw. Just need Chelski to win now. Got a feeling they could let me down with a draw or something going by their pre-season form, but Burnley only just got promoted last year.

Might put a max of £10 split between a few accumulators on next weekend's Premier League games though. What's everyone's picks? Aston Villa vs Newcastle Chelsea vs Leicester City Swansea City vs Burnley FC Crystal Palace vs West Ham Southampton vs West Brom Everton vs Arsenal Hull City vs Stoke City Tottenham vs QPR Sunderland vs Man United Man City vs Liverpool.

Arsenal top of poll? i'd put them as a great outside bet (maybe not a great bet now with odds changing after first weekend) but would have to put chelsea ever so slight favs over man city.
The Man United dynasty has fallen like Rome once did they wont be recovering any time soon imo.

You are right that Manchester Unit. was very bad last season, but this year, with new coach I'm sure they will do much better, and be one of the top candidates for the first place, together with Man. city, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. It will be really interesting to watch
