United - Chelsea was a great game, good to see that United made some progress.

Van Persie finally got his important goal, that will boost his confidence for sure.

Chelsea is by far the best team in England at this moment, so a draw is a fantastic result.

You know what, All due respect for the way that united played. But to be honest, the ref messed the game up. Firstly, you should know that in big fixtures like this, there are going to be some hard tackles. You cant start throwing out yellow cards for every little incident. He lost control of the game, and united players (particularly di maria) noticed this and started drawing fouls. Also, the crowd got into the refs head, he made some terrible calls, and I believe it is because he was influenced by the crowd. So unfortunately he kind of ruined what was otherwise a great game of football.

All that being said, I think based on the performance of both teams, a draw was a fitting result. So congrats Manchester united, maybe you could make top 4 after all.

Referees can make or break a match, but the draw as result was for both teams a fair result.

Some referees are throwing with cards, and some like to keep the match going without them. One time it will benefit the home team, other time the away team.

If an English referee is set on a match between Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid, I think you will see at least two or three red cards, where in Spain they only get a yellow card in the worst case.

5 Own Goals Scored in the Same Match as Both Teams Try to Lose
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2247340-5-own-goals-scored-in-the-same-match-as-both-teams-try-to-lose
The above footage comes from Indonesia where a match finished 3-2 with all five of the goals being own goals.
However, this was no accident, as both teams were reportedly trying to lose the match to avoid an unwanted fixture.
PSS Sleman’s beat PSIS Semarang 3-2 in the match and will now face Pusamania Borneo FC , who, according to 101 Great Goals,  are "a team known to be backed by the Indonesian mafia."

Anybody seeing Callejon's miss in Napoli-Atalanta 1-1 draw would think that he had got paid. It was a clearance which any top class defender would have been proud of Grin

Anyone exited for the Manchester derby? I think it's going to be very close but I'm going 2-1 to City.

I'm watching it now, very annoying red card for Smalling, the fool.

City is pressing and pressing, not sure how long United can hold their defence tight.

Even though man utd deserved the red card and it was a stupid mistake they didn't deserve to lose they played well considering it was such a early on red card.

Man city were all over them when they did have 11 players on the pitch man utd are declining this year and I can't see them finishing in the top 10 at this rate same goes for Liverpool both have been very disappoiting.

Hardly. Man U had a little more possession in the first half and could only beat them 1-0 with 10 men at the end. They should have slaughtered them. If theyd have not had a guy sent off it wouldve likely been a draw imo.

You must understand that City was playing at home, it doesn't matter against who they play, City SHOULD be all over any team in the Etihad Stadium.

I'm sure Utd will get atleast a Champions League ticket. The gap between Arsenal and Utd is only four points.

Liverpool will visit the butcher tomorrow in Madrid, already feel sorry for them  Cheesy

Constantly sacking managers isn't going to do them any good. It's the team that's the problem. Whoever they get isn't going to magically transform the squad and if they can't win with Gaal then I can't see why they would do any better with anyone else.

There isn't slight indication that Manchester United is looking for new manager, where did you get that from?

Van Gaal will stay where he is, you can't blame him for their poor performance.

The only thing that you can blame Van Gaal for is that he didn't point most of his attention at their defence.

ManUtd is almost good enough for the title, a few good defensive players and everything will be fine.

Ron Vlaar, Mats Hummels, Subotic are quite cheap and great additions.

That was some match at Emirates, who knew Anderlecht had it in them.

Liverpool gave a decent account of themselves. Seeing the lineup I thought Real would just walk through.

Dortmund is playing very well in CL. They beat Galatasaray with 4 goals again.
Anderlecht made an unexpected impact and take the draw with 3 goals. Quite entertaining night. Smiley
