The exact setup can be a bit different than the one pointed at the video, Kiev knowing the rebels seized a BUK system could simply have everything arranged for the first minute those poorly educated on warfare rebels misfire that at some bystander commercial plane.

His plane was close to the one that was shoot down. (one of them had 15 min delay)

There is a speculation that they tried to shoot him down but they shoot at the wrong airplane.
Would make sense, Russia don't benefit doing this...

Malaysia Airlines is to refund fares for passengers no longer wishing to travel on the carrier, Sky News has confirmed.

Previously booked passengers due to fly up to and including July 25 can seek a refund without incurring any penalty.

The decision comes amid a wave of concern following the downing of MH17 over eastern Ukraine.

It is unclear how many passengers will cancel their flights.

Nevertheless, the refund will further harm the perception of the carrier both for passengers and investors.

Shares in Malaysia Airlines closed down more than 10% on Friday.

The Kuala Lumpur-listed company saw its stock fall more than 17% at one point before easing prior to the market close.

"Perception-wise it really hits home - It's very challenging. It's very difficult to fight against negative perception," Maybank aviation analyst Mohshin Aziz said.

"I can't comprehend of anything they can do to save themselves."

Bodies rained down on Ukraine village after plane disaster

One of the corpses fell through the rickety roof of Irina Tipunova's house in this sleepy village, just after Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 exploded high over eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russian separatists are fighting government forces.

"There was a howling noise and everything started to rattle. Then objects started falling out of the sky," the 65-year-old pensioner said in front of her grey-brick home.

"And then I heard a roar and she landed in the kitchen, the roof was broken," she said, showing the gaping hole made by the body when it came through the ceiling of the kitchen in an extension to the house.

The dead woman's naked body was still lying inside the house, next to a bed.

About 100 meters (330 feet) from Tipunova's home, dozens more dead bodies lay in the wheat fields where the airliner came down on Thursday, killing all 298 people on board.

You can massage numbers to say anything you want. There is no pattern there other than the ones people want to see. Tragedies happen and there is no rhyme or reason to it. A plane filled with civilians flew through a war zone and got shot down. That is pretty much it.

If they're wearing loose clothing it will get ripped off when the body reaches terminal velocity around 250mph.  Things like shoes shouldn't come off though.  I haven't looked at the pictures yet, just saw the video of the crash site with the bodies there.  Those were partially clothed.

Yes, this is just one of the fishy things. It feels as if everybody in the west was expecting it to happen as immidiately they assigned the blame to the separatists and to Russia by extension. What about conducting an investigation first?

Sen. John McCain said Thursday that he is withholding judgment on the Malaysia Airlines crash, but vowed that there would be “hell to pay” if the plane was shot down by the Russian military or separatists.

McCain's statement is grossly misrepresented.. and the usual suspects don't notice it at all and instead pile on... big surprise.

McCain can't open his mouth without insisting that arming someone or warring with someone, or militarily intervening somewhere isn't the answer to every problem in the world, and he's been doing that forever.   He's an angry, angry little man, vascillating between sputtering and spewing (and accusing the president of being an imbecile who has "embarrassed the country")... and trying to hold it together just long enough to make these "reasonable" statements....But he STILL wants the US to arm Ukraine, did you notice?  What does that even mean, arm Ukraine?  With what?
A big part of McCain's problem is he was embarrassed in the presidential election and can't get over it.   He has only himself and his choice for VP to blame for that.
