I get horrible ping / network latencies from europe to f2pool servers in china. Does this effect mining performance in a bad manner?

My payments always arrived around 6-9am GMT, never had a problem with payments, but it was LTC, not BTC (shouldn't matter though).

My payments always arrived around 6-9am GMT, never had a problem with payments, but it was LTC, not BTC (shouldn't matter though).

Yeah I had a small amount of btc here so when I pointed 10th  on the 3rd it asked for a locked btc address  I gave them an address and it said I had to wait 72 hours to get paid.

I mined a while and then decided It may take 72 hours and then wait until 6 to 9 am GMT that is about 6 to 9 hours from now  a total of close to a 90 hour wait for the first payment.

I then said I don't want to wait 90 hours worth of 10 th   which is more then .3 coins  So I cut down to 1 miner not 8. I am waiting for about 80 hours so far. add in 6 to 9 more it will be 86 to 89 hour wait.  A long fucking time.  Not angry just annoyed.

I just was paid and I no longer am mining here.

I am mining at

mmpool.org  ----------------------------good

nicehash.com----------------------------good

westhash.com---------------------------good

bitcoinaffiliatenetwork------------------new for me not sure

I won't mine at f2pool due to my coins being locked for more then 80 hours.
I thought I only needed to wait 24 hours.

Yes, it's stupid to keep them locked beyond maturation. May I ask why you're mining on both Westhash (NA) and Nicehash (EU)? You should pick the one that's closest to you geographically. Also, have you considered p2pool? You'll earn a tiny bit more than traditional pools, and help keep bitcoin decentralized as futile an effort as that may be.

Usually yes. It's only when you change the payout address for security reasons. Otherwise you get your payout every 24h. In times where many pools get hacked, not a bad idea.

Hello, you signed up on September 22 but only set the payout address on January 3 at 19:23 UTC. In this case, the payout would be delayed for 72 hours to protect you from potential risks. The payout should have sent to your address in the morning on January 7.

Phil I use DFish as a back up pool and they have always paid me. I use Bitcoinaffiliatenetwork as they pay more because of no fee and merge mining of NMC but sometimes the payment is late coming  but have always been paid.

Like I said you paid me.  I was annoyed at the waiting time.  As I put 10th on the pool and did not realize the wait for the coins would be about 85 hours the first time.  which is more then .3 coins if you are mining with 10th.

I realize I speak no Chinese and the pool is bilingual I lost the first waiting period due to translation.  Once I realized the wait would be that long I had mined for 36 or 38 hours and was at .17btc. I  wanted a more liquid place to mine  and did not want to wait.  So I moved to the other pool.

you are still on my sp20's lists of pools as a backup pool.  For now I am trying bitcoin affiliate . I may go back to you as a first choice in a while.

I'm trying out this pool and have been on it for about 24 hours now.  My beefs so far (in addition to what's already been posted in here):

1.  My S3s are assigned a diff of 2048.  Why?
2.  I'm a bit dense so please explain to me how holding payouts up to 72 hours mitigate security of miners losing their coins?  I mean, what's the logic behind it?
3.  I'm getting lower hash rates and earning a bit less here compared to my regular pool.  I think that 4% fee is too much.
4.  The web account interface is agonizingly slow and lacking details.  I like simplicity myself but it is just way too simple that it compromises the site's/pool's transparency.

I'm going back to my regular pool soon (and I guess have to wait for 72 hours for this pool to release my payout).

We hold your payout if your account is more than 7 days old AND you have a payout address create/modify action in the past 72 hours. This protect your fund in the following situation:
• You signed up and started mining, ignored our advice and did not set a payout address for weeks. Day after day, your balance became huge, suddenly, some bad guys cracked your email, set a payout address and all your balance gone.
• You did have set a payout address but your account leaked to some bad guys, who changed your payout address and even you log into your dashboard every day, you would lose at least one day of your earning.

Hi everybody.

I'm a regular miner on BTC Guild and today I've knew this chinese F2Pool.  I usually like to try all the places to find the most suitable, and always open to new pools.

First of all, I have a R-Box 2 miner from RockMiner that I bought about a week ago.  I know that its hashrate (120-130 ghash) is low due to current bitcoin difficulty, but the price was good and I was curious.

I created an account in F2Pool and added my bitcoin wallet address and a worker.  From about an hour ago my miner is connected and working, I  must say that the web seems a bit slow but it's normal from Spain to China (350 ms ping).   My cgminer did about 100K shares with only 512 rejected, the assigned difficulty now is 512 (started at 2048), I hope it down a bit (in BTC Guild was 64-128).

It looks interesting for keep the miner working and see what happends...

[UPDATE]
Finished with this pool, the server is inaccesible most of the time.

** The web seems down sometimes but the miner still working.  Now my current balance is more than the required (+0.0005 btc) and I should receive a payment tomorrow I think.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, however I really cannot find a more appropriate place.

I am trying to push a TX on https://www.f2pool.com/pushtx and it is asking me for a referral code. Where do I find this? or is this a way to make it so only certain people can push transactions via this portal?
