The main update, as you know, will be the launch of a fairly new blockchain algorithm, proof of cooperation, for next tuesday, with faircoin 2, launch

More than that there is many, many things going on, on the faircoop ecosystem, and also on bank of the commons right now.

It is clear that faircoin is one of the more resilent coins to the bitcoin downtrends... and without knowing any other specific intention, i think that more and more trust is being created around the faircoin value

After the decision today in the assembly, the official price of faircoin has changed to 1 euro = 5 faircoins.  1 faircoin = 0.2 eur

Also on the assembly we decided to have 1000 euro as a monthly limit in getfaircoin, in the current situation of bittrex a little bit upper than official price... special cases could be solved case by case (for ex. a buy bigger than 1000 eur in fairmarket )

We already had to pay to get in bittrex back then.

Bittrex added a lack of transparency this last month to Faircoin, as no one seem to know who was behind the pump , you had to disable Getfaircoin as the price was being manipulated.

recently i've heard charlie lee ( author of litecoin ) talk about decentralized exchange based on lightning network could be a breakthrough for p2p exchanges that are generally slower compared with centralized ones, as i remember FairCoin2 is ready for LN right ?

you need only to update the wallet software to the newest version when it's lauched, wallet.dat is just fine as it is don't replace it, make a backup instead

if you have not used the wallet since march 2014, should check before your coins, because it was a fork in february 2015, and the unused coins was recovered. In that case you can ask for them to support@fair-coin.org only before 18 of july!
