Just like thefts of BTC, it's hard to trace who sent you BTC, unless you have some clues in terms of who saw the address, whom you've helped recently, etc. I would personally take this in a positive manner, as you've gotten free coins, and it's far-fetched that someone's going to send $10 in a smear campaign of any sort.

I guess that person must have sent you coins then. That, or someone just chose a random address they saw getting inbound transactions in the blockchain and sent coins there.

If you send the TX information then the sender could search these forums to locate you in case it was some kind of mistake.

freebitco usually leave put their message/comment in their tx
maybe you can check your tx in blockchain, if there's some freebitco comment, it's from them Grin

Barring a forked Bitcoin chain, payment made are irreversible once they have some confirms on them.  They could ask for the coin back, but for $10 I doubt it's worth the effort if it was a mistake.  Enjoy the money or give it to a BTC charity if you want to help out.

Check your payouts in stats/personal page, there are all your tx. Maybe one of your ref rolled high number just few minutes before payout time.

Payouts in stats show the last payment was 0.0004000 so im back to being confused as to where this money came from.

You shouldn't worry about it, haha, money is money. Curiosity is fine, however.

It might not change my life but would certainly help me buy few nice things or maybe just a good laptop. As per OP, some people do random giveaways, maybe it's one of those, not long ago, someone claimed that received random 0.02 from someone. So don't worry about it.

Even 1 btc is too much to hope, doesnt everybody double-triple check sending address before making a payment?!
But when ure dreaming, dream big, something like 100btc that would realy put an amazing spark in anyones life Smiley
I recieved amounts of 0,01-0,10 btc even; not sure if those are payouts from some forgotten pools or something, but i am happy anyway, and dont even explore where it came from.

cheers
