I've put together a simple FireCoin info-graphic for putting on the OP and for advertising etc.

Let me know what you think. I plan to update it over time.

http://firecoin.tk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/firecoin-banner.jpg

I like it. Maybe later can make the bottom text a little more clear. Also could possibly add some timeline stuff or upcoming features eventually.
I will try to post this on Twitter and Reddit. It looks like we need a person to take charge and create a subreddit, any volunteers?

Hello all it has been a busy week working on Firecoin. I just wanted to give a little recap of things we are currently working.

1)Multi pool should be ready by the end of the weekend.
2)Wallet update we are adding some new features to the wallet such as IRC chat, Block explorer and more. We are also updating the look and hard coding some nodes in the    wallet for better connectivity.
3)Windows installer so you do not need to add the .conf file. This will help people new to cryptocoins adapt the coin easier
4)website- We are building it up and plan to have some form of weekly raffle drawing this creates a use for your coins relativity quickly. Even if it is small it is a use and you can win

Please keep in mind these are all ideas that I think are constructive/positive.  Do not think I mean to criticize the coin/devs in any way.  Keep up the great work!

I think there should be more links to the official firecoin website.

The official twitter account should have a link to the website site in the accounts description.  Currently there is a link to the original bitcointalk thread, and the official link (on Twitter) is the same link to that thread as well.  Perhaps change one to website?

Devs and largest supporters maybe add a link to the website in your sig?

Also website related,
We need to increase its visibility and search ranking. A google search of "Firecoin" doesn't even list the website on the first two pages.  If you need help with website SEO let me know.

Cheers,
- VR

This is indeed a great start! If we have big dreams for this coin (which alot of us do),  the devs and community really need to pour their lives into this coin over the next week or two for it to gain serious attention.  Its going to be A LOT harder and require A LOT more effort to jump up into the top 100.  In order to do this, people need to see drastic improvements to the coin.

I purpose we set lofty (date specific) goals and possibly bring on another dev to help with the wallet (no disrespect to the current devs).  If potential buyers don't see the wallet upgrades shortly it could be hard to gain additional support the further we rise up the market cap list. Its better to for our a few bucks and deliver early than to be slow to push out updates.

Is there an Estimated Time of Arrival for adding the .conf file to the wallet?
Is there an ETA for the Block explorer?
Is there an ETA for the website raffle?

These are things potential firecoin investors will want to see.  Devs that deliver ahead of schedule and dont offer false promises.  If we offer all of this and it takes devs 3 months to deliver, potential coin buyers will be discouraged.

Anyone else have thoughts? We really need to execute good ideas to continue pushing firecoin's value up.  Not just saying "to the moon".

Thank you for you input. I have made the changes to twitter. I am happy to hear feedback from people. I know I do not know everything so I welcome feedback. I want this coin to be a great coin and it will not be if we do not get input from the community so keep it coming.

We may want to designate a media specialist. Someone who interacts not just over social media, but also with crypto journalists, and crypto currency news sites.

The more crypto currency related sites that post about FireCoin the better.  If we manage to get any coverage in the crypto currency news world we may spark additional interest.

But for any of this to work, we will of course need to see significant development and community support to the coin (IE the dev stuff that is "in the works").

Roger that. Definitely appreciate the comments and suggestions.

Took some of your suggestions and made the following changes:

Regarding FireCoin.tk website:
- I added XML Sitemaps to the website, which can be found at http://firecoin.tk/sitemap.xml
- I registered the site with Google Webmaster Tools and submitted the sitemaps.
- Any help with the website SEO would be fantastic.

Regarding the links:
- I added a FireCoin link to my bitcointalk sig, I think anyone who supports us should do that, the more the better
- Also submitted a link to it on our new subreddit.
- I have quite a few tweets on twitter going to the site, if anyone wants to retweet, etc.

I think designating a head role for Media/Marketing/PR would be fantastic.
We need the visibility, because even the greatest ideas won't mean much if nobody finds out about it

I think you have done a great job so far generating good discussion and getting the community to head in the "right" direction. Would you be up for the job? I think you could do great Smiley

Any thoughts/comments from anyone on this?

I'm not Tom unfortunately, but I believe the answer is yes. I think it's is more of a re-branding type thing, the network is still the same and no hard forks have occurred as of right now.

Hope this helps Smiley

If you and the dev team agree, I'd be happy to lead the Media/Marketing/PR.

I'll keep an eye on my PM's and within the thread.

I have not been able to get into contact with the faucet operator. We will get a new one up right away.

I believe I know the faucet operator. I will get ahold of him and see what his plans are. Last time I talked to him, he seemed quite happy with FireCoin and the new team behind it  Grin

Thanks let me know what happens.

Cryptocointools,
Any updates on the original faucet owner? If they haven't responded yet we should plan on going with a new one ASAP. If they have responded please ask them how long it will take to come back online.  I dont know how they set it up or why its down, but it shouldn't take much time and we want to get it back online very soon (before the weekend?).
