Is the wallet only 64 bit? Doesn't seem run on an older 32 bit system.

New one uploaded. Can you let me know if it works? Thanks

Does it need firecoind to run? firecoind is 81M in size which is 10x+ bigger than any other similar file from any other coin I have. Because it's so large, I would think it's not right. Plus I can't scan it on virustotal because of the size. So I renamed it but the wallet doesn't run.

The other one is not needed. I normally just leave it alone and only run the QT. Make sure you have the daemon closed.

k. Well the new dl you put up with firecoin-qt doesn't run for me.

What exactly is it doing or not doing? I'm fairly good at troubleshooting wallets.

Run it and it immediately pops up a dialog with "firecoin-Qt (OSS GUI client for firecoin) has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I run 12 other wallets. Only other problem I've had is a coin I tried to get running called Hyper and that one fails when it gets to loading the block index.

This is a shot in the dark, but it has worked for me with a similar problem. Copy all the .dll files from a working coin into the same directory as the QT exe file. I'm out of time for tonight, but if that don't work and nobody else gets you going, I can help tomorrow. Hyper never worked for me either Tongue But Fire works fine as a daemon under Ubuntu. I've not compiled the QT yet, so I've no opinion or insight there.

Dropped every DLL I could find in there and get the same result.

I suggest deleting everything (Save wallet.dat if you have coins) and start over. Make sure your App/data is cleared too. Then reinstall dont change anything and only open the QT. Let me know if that works.

Weekly Contest

So far only 15 entries. Those are some pretty good odds to win almost $150

This Weeks Contest will be for .25 BTC.
Drawing will be 8/10 2pm central USA (7pm GMT)

How to enter. Go to our website http://firecoin.tk/community/weekly-drawing/. I will use you tx ID as your entry ticket and if you buy multiple entries I will add appropriate number of entries. I will draw from all tx ID's the winner AUG 10th 7pm GMT.
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-FIRE

Cost of entries
1 entry equals 20 Fire
12 entries equal 200 Fire

Please only send in increments of 20 or 100. ie: 20 40 400 not 25.

I have also had to raise the price for entry due to the cost per FIRE has dropped since last week and I am offer a larger prize this week. At Current price it is roughly $1 per entry for a chance to win $150. Please spread the word. The more entries we get the more I will raise next weeks prize and the lower I can keep entry costs.

We have a nice Buy wall at 4k sat. It can buy every coin out there and then some. This is nice downside protection.

It doesn't even get to the point of creating the paths and data etc. As soon as I click on it it pops up the error message. Usually that means some sort of crash type bug. I installed Cloak yesterday and it had a missing dll but came up with an error saying that. So I don't "think" it would be a missing dll but I don't know the differences between all these wallets.

Can you PM me the debug.txt file, it's usually located at AppData\Roaming\Firecoin.

Ill take a look and see if there is anything obvious in there.

It doesn't get to the point of creating the directories, thus no debug file.  lol

Is there an older 32 bit version I can try running maybe?

duh.

Not that I am aware of, there is both win32 and win64 but it sounds like you tried them both.

I cant think what the issue might be in this case.

Alrighty. The purely .exe file was the same result.

With the older one, I ran it and it started to work setting things up etc. Then it died and spit out this error:

EXCEPTION: St13runetime_error
CDB(): can't open database file, error 1

Restarted it and it started to work (was fiddling with conf files as well). Wasn't connecting to anything so added a conf file and now it's downloading the blockchain. Stopped and started it a couple times and so far it's ok.

Would this be the correct config file? And I assume it only has to go in the AppDat directory right?

Just to check if it was related to things being setup or not, I retried all the other ones and they still do the same thing.

That is the correct config file and it does go in the app/data. You might have to restart a few times when it hangs. We are working on a new update we will make sure we make it a 32 bit so just watch for that one. I am not sure why your other wallets do not work. S3 will most likely be the one that is able to fix your issue in the next wallet if there is one.
