It is about the time that many people are going on vacations so the travel sites want customers to book their vacations through them.

1. Because its vacation time.
2. It is profitable business.
3. More people will see their ad = more profit for them.

Simply as that.

No one else wants to advertise on tv perhaps
Been a while since I've seen a few companies ads but its probally because this is travel season.

All of them are fighting to be the best, and make the most money. Everything these days is about making money, or a marketing campaign one way or another.

I also saw an advertisement on a television program in Armenia that I found interesting

And about in local travelers the transportation is one of the main reason why people like me take the offers because it’s hard to make scheduling while they can provide completely

Funny thing is, those trip agencies don't have access to ALL routes and pricing, regardless of their claims. Depending on country, you can book flights from an airline that never shows in their system, for whatever reason. But you'd need to learn their names and find their web page on your own, especially on smaller or blacklisted countries...

Did you know, that no American airline is allowed to come to my country anymore? There is a bunch of smaller local 1~3 plane airlines that only go to neighbor countries to connect flight anyone intending to come and leave. You gotta love the thrill of flying those old planes... (don't mind that noise, it gets temperamental sometimes).

I think they make use of the TV as their channel of marketing so as to reach and attract more customers. People travels everyday and the transport sector/businesses need to showcase and promote their business to make profits.

Didn't noticed that I've been watching that trivago advertisement on our national TV for years now.

Tourism, travel, hotels and other related industry is on boom now. Like what the Millenials think that YOLO and travel is life. That's why these industries are getting popular and will become more.

Because there's still a lot of people who watch on TV's, and companies want to target those people and become their potential customers.

For me the real reason why many travel sites advertising on tv is because there are a lot of people who wants to go on vacation especially when it's holidays and when it's weekend that's the perpect time for many people that's why travel sites never stop on advertising.
