Drones to Deliver Bitcoins

Wouldn't it be better if a Drone could deliver you Bitcoins or  two-way cash for Bitcoins.  Could be like a flying exchange ATM ...lol.....

It would be the best if bitcoin itself got better and more secure for public audience, than to disscuss useless ways to buy them.
The whole problem with buying bitcoins came from the sole reason of insecurity surrounding it, fix that and noone will try to stop people from buying it then, worldwide.

I have heard couple times before of drones delivery. Amazon used to deliver packages via drones at some point. I also heard about some brewery offered beer that way for local anglers. And this business was shouted by government claiming drones disrupt sky order and scare the birds or something... As you see it is hard to deliver something via drone now...

Using something like a drone would work I guess to deliver bit coins however looking at the problems from using such a method as well I feel the way bit coins are being delivered now would be a lot better way than drone delivery. With so many things being shot down from the skies I am sure after a certain amount of time there would be ways to shoot down drones carrying bit coins leaving those who needed the delivery empty handed and others gaining.

If it is a two-way thingy with a webcam to see the individual exchanging cash they could just take a baseball bat and knock it down and steal the cash

I came up with this one dreaming on how to set up a offshore paper wallet company using churches to pass along paperwallets (they are the biggest origination with physical locations all over the world and are protected by a number of laws)

So if someone wanted to make a withdraw you just walk into your local Christian church and get the paper.  Once you are safely away you type in the 2fa code and boom. Bitcoins.  That way the person feels comfortable where he is at to hold BTC and the church has no reason to get robbed (or the drone in this case!)

Awesome idea!  I agree knocking down the church doors seems a little awkward no doubt.  I still think we'll see some variation of what we are talking about.

I would think that there would tend to be much interchannel interference between A Standard for the Transmission of IP Datagrams on Avian Carriers and this new scheme. Though with today's drones implementing a typical fanout ratio of 4, perhaps this could be minimized. I suppose we could also build tweet-awareness into the drone routing protocol.

Drone should only be sent out empty on a pickup and return to base full flight. There's a number of YouTube videos of quadcopters flying in the middle of fireworks going off. I think they'll be safe at that cruising altitude, and doing VTOL.

Where it gets tricky would be instant payment/instant delivery, if someone wanted a drone to come to them, relay the video of the QR code and the money being deposited in the payload container (without a counterfeit check) to the pilot/seller, and wait for a confirm.

If I were the pilot/seller, I would have the buyer fill out a form with their BTC address and fiat amount they plan to deposit in advance, and send the drone under these conditions. Once the drone returns back to base, the money would be counterfeit checked, and the BTC sent.

What i would do i get myself a harpoon (only propeer way to shoot down and capture transport drone imho), and wait for em to get closer to ground. Bam! My drone! My loot!   I can see it happe with Amazon drones too.

Drones could work but then you have to look at all the negatives like could they be shot down and the delivery not make it to the person it is intended for. I personally would not like to have my bitcoins delivered by drone even if I knew it would be quicker.

Yes I have heard of this also I think that because companies such as Amazon are considering using drones to deliver packages to people not people think drones can be used for anything. Difference is pizza and packages are not always that valuable meaning they are less likely to be shot down.

There would be more theft than there already is now.   Would need to disguise it so that people thought it was something else that was being delivered.   That would be the equivalent of cash floating in the air and expecting people not to grab it...
