They are probably talking about SealsWithClubs (thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40077.0), which is the biggest bitcoin poker site. You can play some freerolls there, and may earn some bitcoin.

It seem's like this is something hard to ever make work.  To make BTC playing games.  Seems it really could only pay faucet rates and have ad's or something as you play.

Yep, GoldenTowns allows you to withdraw in-game currency to btc/$/€, though don't expect to get much out of it. In fact, I'm probably going to stop playing soon, due to the infrequent updates and my lack of patience for the game - I'm just waiting for my last transaction to be processed (PM me if you want to buy my game account! I'll make it cheap. ).
