The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Thanks a lot for doing this! An interesting outcome! It almost exactly coincides with the burst of the last bubble (November 2013)!!! Is this really a coincidence? I guess we simply have to wait until some wealthy people come back from their holidays!

The way the market has been over the past few months I am wondering if we are even going to have a bubble. Dont get me wrong, i am long on BTC, but the more that things develop,  it seems like it may actually be a gradual increase or decrease (with little spikes) in between.

When it is no longer economical to suppress exchange prices large accumulators will be forced to buy at market prices.  Then, the deluge.

Hopelessness and fatigue setting in. Soon people will just stop watching the price and then we can rise again, catching everyone by surprise!

It seems to me there are a lot of coins moving OTC behind the scenes, with on exchange prices staying static. As long as this represents big players looking for profit entering the bitcoinsosphere then everything should be OK.

Coin coming online IMO should be very bullish for the price. I predict that the price will shoot up prior to the announcement.

Here is hoping for a slow amble around towards ATH over next six months. With COIN triggering the next mania in jan or February 2015.

The next rally is starting but it won't pass the $1000 value, it will peak in two months from now maybe.

If price gets past $850-ish, then surely it is going to go past $1,600.  It is NOT too likely that we are going to see prices in the $850 to $1,600 range for any extended period of time...  b/c if the prices go into that territory.. they are going to shoot past the previous ATH of $1163.... and into the super $1,600 area.. and most likely into the $3k to $5k arena.

So accordingly, ThisisThis, your prediction of NOT going past $1,000 will likely ONLY be correct if BTC prices stay below $850-ish.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Is not at all likely that the price will peak at $1000.
Someone will sell of course, but the rally won't stop so early, it will go at least 2x from there.

What's the basis for the $850 level? Technical analysis, fundamental analysis? Do you have a chart to share? I agree, though, that the $800-830 level was the last level before the down trend went into full swing in February. So $850 might be pretty good confirmation of a strong bull market. But that's all I can think of.

My $850-ish estimate is likely NOT very scientific and is based, in part, on what I had seen to be the past bubbles between 2011 and present and retracement and reestablishing of a new ATH.  I wished that I could give you better technicals, but I am NOT really good at drawing charts... I come to my opinionated outlook just by looking at the charts that other people make and come to my own conclusions about what I believe to be reasonably likely.... which may or may NOT be correct but I am going based on those hunches to inform my own trading, to extent that I do any trading... Currently, I mainly just continue to buy and to hodl... and to buy some more.

I have been nervous to sell anything below $700, b/c I am afraid that the BTC rocket could take off and leave me, yet I may do a little trading with a small portion of my BTC portfolio (probably less than 5% of my portfolio) in the $700 to $850 range, though.

Hopefully, that helps to explain at least how I came to my estimations that may NOT be too traditionally scientific.

In the past with bitcoin, and with most other bubbles with other asset classes, the peak of the bubble will surpass the previous peak of the previous bubble, usually by a very long shot. Generally speaking the post bubble low is higher then the previous bubble high, although this is not the case. By these standards the next bubble will surpass $1k by a lot.

This is exactly what i thought, because for the previous bublles we see exact same situation, it could be 3-5k$ at the next bubble peak.

Maybe the November 2013 bubble was the last one. That would be a bummer, huh? Or maybe masterluc was right, and we're in for a multi-year bear market. Fun stuff!

I guess it'll start in the second half of September. I've changes my mind about the bubble quite a few times over the last months, but I'm quite certain that that date makes most sense. people coming back from their holidays, investing the leftover money in BTC... Yeah... I guess that's reasonable!

December. Things are looking rather FURry at the moment. We need to achieve a constant bull market first. I don't see the price rise exponentially already. Many people still expect the bubble to happen right now in August. First we need total desperation!
I'm not so sure we will see much capitulation. There will still be panic buying and profit taking.

I just go out on a limp here and say the next bubble will start Dec 1st, because that's almost exactly the date when the last bubble (Nov 2013) burst and went down from its ATH. It would be a nice coincidence.
