I lost a lot of coins, but my wallets was encrypted, and i have all my wallet.dat files saved on flash drive,so I got my coins back.I feel sorry about others who lost their money and time. This coin was good experience for me.Now I will put my rigs only on Global Denomination.
And fuck this zipcoin dev.I hope he will die soon.Bastard!

how do you mean you 'lost' them? I lost my VTC because he sent them out of the wallet to a new address. i'm assuimng the encrypted wallets preventing him doing that? and he just edited the wallet.dat which then you restored from backup?

sorry just want to clarify to prevent it happening to me/us again

some of you will know this already but a lot wont because this isnt a blackhat forum so i will tell you, ready made remote admin tool or wallet stealer are free and costs only $50 to buy equipment to make the virus undetectable for a couple of days, virus gets hidden in the real file and av will never detect it, if dev wants to infect you and isnt a complete moron he will succeed

scanning on virustotal doesnt prove shit and encrypting your wallet doesn't do shit because as soon as you type in the password the hacker will get it either from logged keystrokes or watching your screen in real time

its better to keep new alts on pool or exchange or on different computer to the one with your btc/ other wallets you care about

i'm using a different machine for shitcoin, nothing to steal there, i can secure erase in 30 min, virus don't stand a chance

and when you see a copy of windows file not in the system32 directory(i'm talking about zipcoin) you know you are infected...

It always amazes me when somebody claims a THEFT scam the amount of people who carry on like they didn't read it.  Somebody please PM me the INFECTED ZIP wallet and I will happily disassemble it.

Sorry should of been more clear, a zipped up installed wallet.  I know that's really only possible if you already lost your coins and haven't wiped though.  The wallet .exe file is pure binary (and large).  Way too time consuming to work off of.

why not install it on a virtual machine and work from there?

There is seriously enough information on this thread to make even the most amateur crypto enthusiast suspicious!!

Please people, be cautious, be safe and share the knowledge!

You wouldn't want this to happen to you - even if only for a small amount!

Ultimately the choice to pursue this coin is yours, however.. risk mitigation is a smart option!

Many Ninja accounts popping up claiming this is FUD...for the real investors scrolling through the thread DYOR...more than enough information has been provided to realise something shady is surrounding this coin and the team behind it...

SCAMMED Just seen all my DOGECoins stolen

1002 confirmations
Date: 08/08/2014 16:33
To: DSkhuYWnaiKabXg3vmcvKunviJDGMCTZmj
Debit: -31,190.00 DOGE
Net amount: -31,190.00 DOGE

Just wondering what coin will be next. If more are taken im finished as a miner. Bitcoin also taken. luckily i didn't have much in that wallet.

Seems the only people who don't believe could be the scammer. Oh sorry, the scammer was kind enough to leave 1.06551866 prick.

Moving coins now to new wallets, nearly finished
EDIT: Also stolen
blackcoins 1001
Litecoins
Bitcoin Scrypt 700+
Meow
Forgot to add that i also had 4. btc stolen too. don't have address as deleted it with wallet when i found out how much i lost and stopped mining altogether. I also had a huge number of other coins stolen too. was discussing this today and remembered. wanted to add for future ref, would be nice if i could locate that wallet, but its gone down with the exchanges.

You should not buy a warrant unless you are prepared to sustain a total loss of the money you have invested plus any commission or other transaction charges

Just assume that every wallet you download has a keylogger that has been crypted with 0day stubs. Also assume that new wallet that been uploaded on the OP has the same RAT(remote access tool) that infected the first one but has been re-crypted with new undetectable stub.

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

So guys lets talk about prevention. After my coins were stolen I installed a TPM module and encrypted my drive. Will this help? Other than the obvious like an antivirus and a password on wallets, what else can we do to protect ourselves?

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953
