Some nodes

Those are mostly inbound connections (ie connections from others, assigned to a random outgoing port for each socket), so trying to connect to most of those won't work. The default listen port is 41015 so you want peers with "inbound" : false when you call getpeer to set as seeds. You could change the port to 41015 for the inbound addresses, but that's assuming they are listening and have upnp enabled or the port open manually. Here's a list of listening nodes from my fully synced client:

Code:
46.165.209.140:41015
54.91.73.167:41015
74.91.20.250:41015
172.245.21.48:41015
194.79.23.168:41015
198.100.146.163:41015
209.73.144.179:41015
212.129.58.29:41015

Cheers!

Man this coin is a long way off from matching the price of a spud.  More like 1 spud coin = 1 chip  Grin

Spuds wholesale in the uk are fetching from £3.50-£4.00 a kg, i mean i aint no farmer but my maths aint that bad lol.
Also you need quite saturated soils for growing spuds so im not too sure about it being a main crop for Africa for obvious reasons.

Im all ears for the facts n proof n fud calls so bring it on cuz this ones well and truly lost me  Huh

I thought so too, but:

The genius that made this coin dont realise that in Africa they dont eat Potatoes they eat Cassava..
PotatoCoin is a coin for Ireland!

Also you need quite saturated soils for growing spuds so im not too sure about it being a main crop for Africa for obvious reasons.

I thought so too, but:

Yeah, they do, and it's not really about physical potatoes. It's about helping people. http://potatocoin.net for you who haven't read up on the coin

Thats all well n good but i aint seeing any steps to that other than a coin creation with a huge pre mine.
How are you going to fairly distribute the pre mine, how do you know the pre mine will get
to the right people and not other claimants playing the part, how are you going to create
mass adoption to the coin and how are you going to handle the possible 187 500 000 million coin
drop on the market (or queue to drop on the market considering its only 2sats) which will most likely happen
going on what happened after auracoin distribution stage.
Also the minting stage is way too long, nobody's buying it there's a 17btc sell wall with a 0.72btc buy at 2sats with no movement,
it will be delisted from c-cex way before the end of mining stage for low volume.

I aint saying nothing about the coin or the the dev or intentions good or bad its not my worry but if you
want this to work you better get to work n show some work cuz currently this aint going nowhere.

Hearing those few words "Its for helping people" as a explanation makes me wanna run faster than the pre mine lol

All in all i think another change of the game plan might be in order, anyway all the best with your work.

Well, do have some things in store, but we have this thing at bitember to not hype things before they're done.

Anyway, we at Bitember truly wants this coin to succeed so I have decided to go full public to alleviate some of the stress about the pre-mine. That way, if we do anything evil, you can come after me with torches and pitchforks Wink

Here we go!

I'm durilup, also known as lifeofcray on irc, reddit and twitter. My real name is Marcus Johnson and my facebook page is http://facebook.com/durilup

Personal email: durilup ( a ) gmail.com   (please don't spam me)
Phone: +46720027158 (if you call me in the middle of the night i swear to god)

I'd post my myspace account if I actually remembered it. Most of these accounts are from between 2005 - 2008 and all of them have my real face on them. This was already easibly accesible information since my username on here is durilup as well. But might as well just post direct links. I will also be adding this information to potatocoin.net and memorandum 1.

And I promise you, we're trying to make the world a better place. And we truly want this to succeed. Thing is, as we said when we started this coin, this is not a pump and dump coin. So you won't get any hype from us. You will get results when they're ready. And remember, we're handling way more money at http://bitember.com every day than what we would get from trying to scam you guys with potatocoin. And if we did that our brand name would be tarnished forever.

Anywho, we do have a couple of things lined up for the end of November. You'll see what when it's ready.

Well, that's it for me tonight. If you got any questions, feel free to ask in the thread.

+1 lifeofcray

Been watching this for months because I see the potential, not the negativity. I love it.

I'am not sure.

Seriously though, which do you think lifeofcray would rather have?

1) 300 dollars worth of premine he can dump, before he gives most of it away.
2) A new generation of the MPesa system. (to put it bluntly)

Clearly you chose to vouch for option #1
Negativity all the way, keep it rolling =p

Potatocoin explorer (abe.bitember.com) and the Bitember SPUDS pool (spuds.bitember.com) are both up and running again.

Potatocoin is now 100 days old! And the block reward is down to 402 spuds per block!
