Would you buy a hardware wallet?

I would not buy any hardware wallet. because I think I am satisfied with online wallet.. may be I'll buy an hardware wallet in future but right now I am Ok with my current wallet because I don't have much money..

Lol don't worry I think you can buy hardware wallet as well If you saved some Bitcoin means,  I have checked in Google regarding this bro. Price is little high only and hardware wallets are released in many countries especially in China, Greece, France, Germany and US.

You can be okay with a online wallet but you also have to keep in mind about the security of it.
A paper wallet as a example is way safer than online wallets and a hardware is also safer than it.

I have purchased a ledger wallet and i am waiting to receive it, i think to move there and see how much easier, faster, and safer is it comparing with online wallets. So my answer yes i would buy a hardware wallet.

Yes ,but if i have money to buy ,because i have a friend that use a hardware wallet it is safer than a online wallet even when PC or the one who manage online wallet crash the bitcoin have a chnace to loose but on a hardware it is safe except the hardware will broke.

I maybe would consider it because a hardware wallet can be very good secured but it depends if I really need it, I already have a paper wallet and I'm happy with it.

I am doing some research for a Bitcoin company that is interested with developing a hardware wallet to see if it has a viable market. Trezor has some traction, but perhaps only in the existing Bitcoin community. With things like Multi-sig popping up everywhere, do you think this negates some of the pressing need for Hardware wallets? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Now hardware wallet is safer than online because almost of stealer of bitcoin money now is in the online world so it is safer now if i have hardware wallet because now in my place few people only knew about bitcoin and even stealer dont know that it is money so it would be safer than online wallet.

For me, the most important thing is security more than anything else. If your hardware offers excellent security service, I think people will come and buy your product. Additional features are just icing on the cake. Good luck!

Indeed security is very important no doubt about that, I think a hardware wallet is pretty safe for it because the fact is that its offline.
I really would consider this for sure.

I have one bitcoin hardware wallet but i dont tried to use it because i heard allot of storys that everyone can get in and other shit. So i am scared to use it would it be secured enough to use it or will others take my coins.

Online wallets had given me increased security and I don't have long time holding plan, so I don't go for a hardware wallet. One who has the plan to just hold for users could use those wallet.

I find hardware wallets good only if you have really huge amount of bitcoins and want to keep them safe.
And even then I don't think properly secured software wallet (I would recommend Armory here) is worse in terms of security than Trezor.
You want to remember that Armory is free, hardware wallets are not.

My pi worked perfectly for me. Offline with a watch-only set up on my desktop. But to be honest though lads - just writing down the seed or keys is enough to keep your coins safe. Keep spare change on your computer and its all good.

Heres the thing with hardware wallet.

You gotta ask if the same security is used in other providers that offer the same.

I was thinking about this yesterday after reading several bookmarked threads - outside from the debate from being total "offline" and eventually it would have to be sent to a hotwallet unless you just plan to let it sit there forever.

So after answering that question, you got several options after knowing ledgers hardware wallet cost small entry for like $44 or something off amazon or a bit more from their actual website.

But heres what I learned after knowing the co-author person who wrote the bi39 with trezors hardware wallet. Is the same person who made breadwallet which uses the same level of security provided on the trevors hardware wallet.

Conclusion: I save myself and downloaded breadwallet basically. Outside from the physical theft all that, theres too much variables the person has to go through - which is where also the bi39 or 38 comes into play with the encryption since its on the "network" not on the phone itself.

Also this depends on your lifestyle, but the odds of someone point a gun to my head saying enter the keyphrase is very slim. Which I can only imagine that would be the only way to brute force the actual security.

If its on a website based, which most are .. youre hoping the website provider stays online at all times.

Lets say there was a attack on the server side not displaying the website itself and you needed to access the coins? okay, lets say you do bare with it, but noticed they released what happened and they say there was a backdoor made from a rogue employee to had access to their wallet.

The scenario I just talked about has happened on several exchanges.

I don't plan also to buy a hardware wallet, but I'm not thinking that it is easy to be scammed but I'm thinking on losing it.
If I lost it accidentally , the btc that I have there will also be lost forever.
