Yes I would buy hardware wallet if I have some huge amount of money in bitcoins. I don't have, but I was lucky enough to get one hardware wallet. It's from some prize, but I don't know how I got it or from where, I opened new thread for that, but without answers. I still don't know from whom I got it, just one day postman delivered it to me. Well now I have good wallet and I don't plan to buy another one.

Buying a hardware wallet can be good but I think that I would not use it a lot because I have some other wallets. I also use online wallet so that is why..
It's good because it's portable, and it's also safe to have it. But even though it is safer than having your money saved in an online, web-browser based wallet, a paper wallet is still the safest option you can go for. I'm using them and it feels way better and safer than having to enter your credentials in different websites.

I think that its also not worth it because its not very easily with payments, online wallets are better for payments. On the other hand hardware wallets can be nice for large amounts maybe.

You need learning more about the hardware wallet, it's just like you're using the offline wallet but you can bring your wallet into everywhere you want. and you can synchronize the hardware wallet with an offline wallet like an electrum and that is the best combination. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2dqksb/electrum_trezor_one_happy_me/

You could actually use both, especially if your kind of a person does have many transactions made online which web wallet does the edge on having this situation unlike on using hardware wallets but when you possess large amounts you could store it on hardware which is somehow safe compared to web wallets.

I could somehow say that hardware wallets is more secure than web wallets especially when you are holding huge volumes of bitcoin. In my own side if i have lots amount bitcoin then for sure i would buy hardware wallets and keep it for more secure of your money without any risk on lossing it.

How much money for hardware wallet? For now I don't need some extra protection, and I'm not working with high amounts. Hardware wallet is probably for people who need it for some of this reasons. Maybe one day in the future I will have one, for now I don't even know where to buy one, I never searched for it. But like many things, this is something good to know.

I think those hardware wallets are also like local wallet but rather than downloading whole blockchain ledger they just use remote server to make transaction. Downloading whole bitcoin ledger is very hard these days so we don't have much option left rather than using web wallets.

A hardware wallet is something that you can buy if you a large sum of bitcoins but its without any doubts not the safest method to store them. If you want to have your wallet with you on that way it can be an option of course.

So tell us why you don't think they are safe, specifically what is wrong trezor or ledger It depends on how it secured and also how good it is secured, if such an hardware wallet is not good secured it is not very safe, but its really laying if it will be secured.

I will definitely buy a hardware wallet at some point. Currently the plan is to buy one when I can pay for it in bitcoin, and have earned enough bitcoin that I can afford one and still have enough bitcoin that it would be worth using it to protect. Until then, just taking smart precautionary measures will have to du as I would not be able to justify the expense.

There are a lot of pros and cons about hardware wallets. But in my opinion depending on only one resource is always dangerous. Moreover you are saying you will buy hardware wallet after having huge amount of bitcoins is also not the right approach. Because till 15 bitcoins, you are taking the risk with your bitcoin saving. I suggest to go for off line wallets with multiple backups from the beginning of your journey towards 15 bitcoins.

Downloading the whole blockchain is a really pain in the ass and you would need huge space on your storage and you need to wait for couple of days before you could download it completely but its worth for the effort and time you spent because pc wallets do have some advantages compared to web wallets. For me hardware wallet would also do if you have bitcoin to store from it.
