Maybe he is not telling the truth. There is no way activity is bigger than the number of posts.

I believe it's possible if the number of 2 week periods * 14 is greater than the number of posts.  It's simply posted less than once a day over the last year.

Would be wary of purchasing. I don't have a beef with users purchasing accounts (Honestly... If someone falls for a scam just because of the user rank, I feel absolutely no pity.) since the forum allows it. However this user seems to be a scammer. Other people charge 1BTC+ for hero accounts. Likely hacked accounts if they exist at all

I sent this person a PM indicating interest in the account. I was told to send BTC to this address and send him a message saying which account I want: 1CtLezqJhM7nzePgo5fVRbhQ3wYyJ6zy2P

I replied asking if he is willing to escrow and have not received a response. I would say to trade with caution.

you have everything, from full to hero, but in fact no member account...

and prices are too low, no one with legits accounts would sell hero for 0.5- bitcoin, so I guess there is no account.

Even if they were hacked, the hacker would charge more

Nah it is not possible, according to my own experience.
If your post count is smaller than 14*no. of periods you posted, your activity level would be the same as your post count.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

If he delets two posts, his activity will appear greater than his posts for up to 30 min.

But why e talking about that, the accounts probably don't even exist

I feel that it is outright scamming, you aren't supposed to sell accounts and the related trust. While the selling of accounts is allowed, though I think most people in the community frown upon it or don't condone it, but nevertheless it is tolerated by the mods and admins.

Hmm. About the activity being higher than the number of posts, perhaps he deleted a number of posts, but the activity stayed the same?

It's really only allowed so that users aren't left with the false assumption that it doesn't occur. It's simply impractical to avoid.  By making it openly acceptable, there should be no false assumptions.

Obviously IP address account limiting doesn't work (VPN/NAT etc.).  How can a website ensure that a user doesn't create more than one account without collecting/verifying personal information?  Mike Hearn in a talk a few months ago brought up using a hash of a passport to uniquely identify users and limit them to one account.  Not quite sure where that went but it seems fairly unworkable anyway.

The actual act of selling/buying accounts isn't scamming. Depending on how they are used, thats a different story. If people want to use them for signature campaigns... Fine. As long as they follow the campaign rules (IE not muti-accounting it) theres no issue. However, its impossible to tell if they are following the rules or not (Many break these rules). I don't actually believe many people buy accounts to scam, as it just sounds ridiculous. Who would send someone money just because of how high their forum rank is, when its clearly known (even if its not known, its a forum account!) that accounts can be sold/bought. People need to do their own due diligence...

I can't even believe that I am reading this shit. Arguing over whether accounts for sale are valid or not, as if buying someone else's account to scam with is.

There really is no low in crypto. Sheesh.

It is valid, the forum allows it. What shit are you reading? I see no issue with accounts being sold/bought, it would happen regardless if it was allowed or not. I also feel no pity for those that fall for scams based on someones forum account level. Thats absolutely ridiculous. Purchasing accounts has a bit of risk... They could be hacked accs, the seller can claim the account back, the account could be banned for spamming, etc.

Users that are posting scams should be called out and - rep for it. Thats all thats needed IMO
