nobody real pays attention to the fact that EMD was fair launched in the early days.
POW and it is running at sustain inflation.
anyone who has studied the crypto space will eventually identify EMD as it is ... a GEM!

really underrated and well distributed.
it is a gem but no new updates .We dont see dev activity and that gem can be 50-100 sat for years .

a good question...
if the community decides that EMD does not need another blockchain explorer, then this move/try will end

i thought that EMD will have a benefit if gets another blockchain explorer such https://chainz.cryptoid.info/
but this is my opinion only ...

what benefits ?
if we will see new development and price 5000 sat or some big exchange maybe . But now no reason for new blockexlorer . You have 3 working EMD Block Explorer

that's odd.....
somehow on cryptopia DGC connections became EMD,
and in fact they do connect to EMD wallet:

is it supposed to happen ?
It's not uncommon for 'stray' wallets to connect to other wallets.
The only time it becomes an issue is when the 'stray' wallets tries telling your wallet that there are more blocks to download.
When that happens, the bar at the bottom of your wallet can show up and say it's downloading blocks - but really it's not because the blocks won't match.
It won't hurt your wallet, it just becomes annoying Undecided

The only time it becomes a REAL problem is when you (or a pool) is trying to mine to that wallet.
Most the time, mining stops if there are blocks to download.

well, that's not the problem of course,
BUT of all cryptopia nodes only 1 is actually EMD, all the rest are DGC  Smiley
i sent them 2 more EMD nodes
If you want more nodes, got to http://altcoinwarz.com/ and click on EMD
there are usually 5 or 6 current in the list.

So I was playing around with my GPU rig. Winter is setting in and I could use the extra heat ...
I hit some emd blocks and my pool payed it out, so I thought I would start up my desktop wallet.
the transactions didn't show up.

After a little investigating, I discovered my windows wallet was about 500 blocks ahead of my pool wallet and my emd wallet for altcoinwarz.com
Checking with the block explorer, my desktop wallet doesn't match, but my other two do match the explorer.
( desktop wallet version is v0.8.6.1-g283b1bc-beta)

I only bring this up as a warning that there may be a fork out there ...

Currently, only one block explorer shows the actual blockchain:
http://emd-abe.blockexp.info/chain/EmeraldCrypto

There is still a problem. Emerald daemon shows this error too often on my node:
************************
Quote
EXCEPTION: 11DbException
Db::put: Cannot allocate memory
emerald in ProcessMessages()

This error occurs after a certain time regardless of the memory available in the system. I have 26Gb of RAM and about 20Gb of free disk space.
Yesterday I reloaded the blockchain and used a new wallet.dat, but there still the same problem.

I Googled that the same error observed in earlier versions of LTC and DOGE.
I think it's necessary to make the next version of the wallet.

after that i will see the result.

i use the last blockchain snapshot (03.09.2016 - at 4322833) from emeraldcrypto.de with the following nodes

-addnode=184.185.216.85
-addnode=108.61.10.90
-addnode=98.115.147.74

this is a call for the EMD whale

who is the owner of EhmC1AWXFk73pmkfQdrvteZjBCorLUpC1d ?
it is a new adress (since 10.11.2016) and has 72.59% of all issued EMD

please get in touch with me via PM

my intesion is to reach this investor to try to move him to support the EMD.

EMD needs more nodes -> maybe with a bonus program we can reach more node operators
EMD needs more exchanges -> maybe with supporters we can get in a new exchange
EMD needs more block explorers -> maybe with supporters we can akquise a new block explorer

This is incorrect nodes (not Emerald):
144.76.71.141 - DigitalcoinV3.0:3.0.1
176.9.113.75 - DigitalcoinV3.0:3.0.1

For proper synchronization is necessary to choose only nodes with "Satoshi: 0.8.6.1" protocol.
In emerald.conf temporarily change the p2p port to any other than "port = 12127".
In order not to give the possibility Digitalcoin nodes connected to this port.
And to add peers without using the command "addnode". It is necessary to use the command "connect" - it does not allow your node to receive a list of other nodes. To synchronize only these nodes will be used.
Code:
connect=184.185.216.85:12127
connect=108.61.10.90:12127
connect=98.115.147.74:12127
connect=82.200.205.30:12127

After synchronization and matching the number of blocks with http://emd-abe.blockexp.info/chain/EmeraldCrypto?count=20 you can bring back the port number, and change "connect" to "addnode".

sawa, thank you for the advise and the technical hint !

i will add the list at the emeraldcrypto.de site for all EMD users

CAUTION - CAUTION - CAUTION
please visit www.emeraldcrypto.de for the current blockchain issue

this blockchain issue of EMD shows me, how important for EMD is to have another blockchain explorer.
i am working to bring EMD on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/

DigitalcoinV3.0:3.0.1 is being a pain in the butt.

I had the same problem with LiteBar.
I changed the subver to LiteBar(plus version info) and added to code to check incoming clients, and drop them if they didn't have 'LiteBar' in their subver.

The only drawback is that older LiteBar clients get dropped also - but it was a mandatory update   Wink

CAUTION - CAUTION - CAUTION

i advise every EMD user to create new empty wallets and transfer his fund to the new wallets.

add to your .emerald directory a file named DB_CONFIG containing the statement mutex_set_max 100000
 this avoids memory allocation errors of Berkeley DB (EXCEPTION: 11DbException error).

dump your private key(s) of your wallet and keep it/them separate in a file.
 you can have access to your funds by creating a new wallet and import your extracted private key(s)
 be patient the resync takes some time
