I was going to mine some EMD on LuckyAltCoin but when I tried unzipping the wallet, Windows 7 blocked it due to a virus warning. Am I safe to unzip and run the Qt from my downloads? Thanks in advance.....

which antivirus do you use ?
if it is possible make an exception for emerald-qt.exe and start again. the wallet is definitely not a virus or contain something similar.

the antivirus recognize the exe as a virus/malware, because you can use the wallet as a miner too.
make an exception and everything is ok
