Anyone have a link to the newest windows wallet?  For me, all of the links are dead.  One of them says it is not available in my county (US).

Thanks!

looks like coin is dead, time to dump everything you have, I just noticed that since the 18th all my mined coins are just vanishing when exported to my address, and not getting there, then when I go to the block explorer to look at the txID it says "sorry this is not on our server" and "sorry not found" Wonder if the people setting this back up were responsible for pump and dump with them or something, reviving dead coins then selling off what they have after buying super cheap cause the coin was dead, or something

I've only seen this error with one other coin, which also has a relatively large (2 million plus) number of blocks.

I'm currently trying to restart and sync the last couple of days; emeraldd took nearly 9 minutes just to load the block index.

Looks like Berkeley DB is starting to creak under the strain...

I am working on a new client for EMD. It is not dead... but is in bad need of another update to a more modern client.

I will get the latest wallet uploaded to Mega and post the link in the OP and on the website.

Soon.

New EMD Windows Wallet Download Link
(For your safety: Never download from any wallet link not posted from dev account)

https://mega.co.nz/#!IsI1TA7I!lCXxZUP20kzuVZDCxWFjPNMuqEWx6xSM_ldaL8OzDgQ

I am in the process of updating the OP. Should be straightened out today.

BTW, this wallet is version 8.4.1... It is the same as the previous version, except with a few new checkpoints.

The next version of the wallet (more modern) should be available around the first of the year. I need to get this new version completed as it will allow me to implement some other things that I have been working on for EMD.

I also realize that I have not been posting on here, lately. As I have developments and news I will try to keep this updated better.

Thanks for your patience. More coming very soon.

There was a huge amount of hash on one of the pools around that time which may have caused a fork. I am investigating this now. You may have been mining on the wrong chain which would cause the coins not to show up in your wallet or in the block explorer. We had an issue with one of the pools when we first switched to DGW3 that was on the wrong chain for a few days and caused some to not get paid who were mining there even though it was listed in the OP as being on the wrong chain.

For those inquiring about wallet errors: My wallet loads (slowly) and syncs fine. If there was a fork (which I am looking into) it could be possible that you are trying to sync to the wrong chain. If I find there is a fork, I will add some more checkpoints and get an update to github so that everyone can be assured to be on the right chain. (The wallet link I uploaded was created in October, so the checkpoints will not cover anything that occurred in the past couple of days.

And, yes. I do still have my 100K+ EMD. Why would I want to sell, now; before any real development is completed?

There was a fork that occurred a few days ago that caused some block chain issues. I am working on an update which will be mandatory to assure that everyone is on the same chain. The update will be pushed to github shortly (in the next hour or so) and a new wallet download link added to the OP.

New Version will be 8.5.1 and will be a mandatory update!

When I finish the next client (release date early January), this should no longer be an issue as it will have auto-checkpointing to keep the chain straight without having to do manual updates.

Hashed out a new Windows wallet (version 8.5.1) with updated checkpoints. This is not a mandatory update, but it is strongly suggested. This new version also corrects the port conflict that has given a few solo miner's fits and updates Open SSL.

Source code will be uploaded to github in the next few minutes.

You can download the EMD 8.5.1 Windows client here: https://mega.co.nz/#!RlZ1CZhC!7BeWKxib-ILhNNVK3kFsMGSF8_3KeyQgqkAuASbYH_o

Grab the latest one (8.5.1). It corrects a port problem that has been giving some solo miners issues. The other one (8.4.1) I loaded today had just been a test wallet that I had been using on one of my PCs.

New source (8.5.1) is up on Github. Pools and exchanges should update ASAP!

Thanks!

I hope I'm able to solo mine this coin with the miners I have. I'm running 2 28mh Silverfish and they are no way to disable the the auto stratum+tcp command it adds in. The only way I can mine is by connecting it to a pool since I haven't learned how to disable that stratum+tcp..And if the Coiniumserv Software recognizes the prebuilt coin.json.. Half the coins it won't. Shitty software.  But that's what I'm doing. I've got the latest one started downloading. Won't be to much longer I hope Smiley

Hang on a minute. Won't changing the P2P port from 12128 to 12127 segregate the network? Those running on the older client will not be able to connect to the new (without an explicit addnode to force a non default port), and vice versa.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to change the RPC port?

edit: compile of the new client seems have picked up a couple of peers on the "old" port 12128, so I guess the segregation concern is unfounded. Still does seem a bit unusual to change the network port on an established coin.

The P2P port was listed as 12127 everywhere except in the protocol.h file. It had caused some issues for solo miners as it was in conflict with the other mentions of it elsewhere in the source code.

It has been that way since the coin was founded 20 months ago. I overlooked it when we took over and did the original updates to the client back in August. When I became aware of it; I put it on the to-do list. Since I was hammering this update out today, anyway; I went ahead and took the extra 30 seconds to get it fixed.

Next client will be based on the latest Bitcoin Core. Should be available in early January and be a huge improvement over the current client which was originally based on an old version (it was old even in April 2013... lol) of LTC.

Now to get back to work on the OP...

you could run your own mining proxy on your local computer, and point your mining rigs to that.

I finished cleaning up the OP a bit. Things should be a bit more legible now that all of the broken graphics links have been removed. I will get the graphics moved to another server and re-enable them sometime later.

Be sure and stay up to date by downloading the latest client. If you have been having memory issues, you may need to delete everything except your wallet.dat file and re-sync the chain to get a clean copy.

More news soon...  Wink
