Good to hear, we need to target these payment processing companies harder, from a companies POV it is easier for them to go through a 3rd party rather than get their heads around the whole BTC concept. This is why we need companies like this, bitpay etc.

Yes! One company at a time! That's exactly how we need to go forward. We don't necessarily need big bubbles in order to get the attention of the media. We need a slow but steady growth that'll enable Bitcoin to get more and more traction each day and makes people realize that it isn't some stupid scheme or play-money!

Just caught this myself so this is the first time I am hearing about this but this is great to hear. It may only be one company at a time every so often but the fact that it is now happening is great as we need more companies like this to start accepting bitcoin. Hopefully many more big companies will start to follow in suit.

Oh, damn it! I confused it with this other company http://www.globalcollect.com/ it's used by Steam. If Steam accepts Bitcoin, the price will rise to the moon.

Global Payments is a service in fact similar to BitPay, it's a payment platform to help merchants integrate several payment options, they can handle the payments and send money to the merchant directly in $USD to his bank (or whatever payment method the merchant prefer). Now that has partnered with BitPay, Bitcoin will be another payment method that ANY merchant using their service can integrate easily. Sadly, Steam and many other companies are using the other payment platform that I mentioned on the first line of this post, but now that a competitor has integrated Bitcoin, probably sooner or later Global Collect will accept BTC too.
