Level 4 cold storage -- throw away the private keys. Those coins are NEVER moving!

Never! I'll hold them forever and no one could force me to sell my coins I don't understand why people say that they will "never" sell their coins. What is the point of buying them in the first place? Wouldn't this more or less mean that the money you spent on buying your coins pretty much goes down the drain if you are never going to spend/sell them?

I can only speak for myself, but I will never sell my coin. And you kind of answered your own question by adding something that the OP did not say: the word spend. I won't sell my coin for fiat, but I WILL spend it one day.

Really I don't think I will ever sell them. I'll spend them, I already do, but I doubt I will ever sell them for fiat.

Just to re-frame this question a little bit since the bullish sentiment seems to be waning...
...at what price to you decide that you can't risk hodling any more and sell to get SOME of your fiat back? $500? $400? $300? Lower?
For me, I'd ride it down close to zero, but my investment is a pretty small part of my portfolio.

I read a lot of posts here about people hoping the price will hit $10000 or whatever and it got me thinking what is everybodys price that they will start to sell some of their coins. How much would Btc have to be before you start selling?
I am not selling my BTC, just when the price is low I dont use it for buying things. I hate this thing in BTC sometimes when I liked something today and if I think a little to buy it price is already different and this sometimes making me not spend my BTC. BR Gondel

This thread gives me the same vibes as reading threads from 2010 when people had hundreds or thousands of coins and probably didn't expect them to hit more than $1 each in their wildest dreams. It's the product of a bygone era.
Not long ago, everyone and their mom thought that $10,000 bitcoin was a lock. These people already went "all in" and then just waited here for it to happen... but clearly the rest of the world failed to follow their lead. These uber-bullish threads from 2014 will read like a comedy gold mine in a couple years.

Looks like a decent number of people have decided to sell today. I am still not selling any. I actually won't sell any. I would spend some though. I guess it is a good time to spend BTC when prices are falling because you get more bang for your buck...

I am not spending or selling while Bitcoin is going down. I'll just sit and wait to see Bitcoin raise and then I will enjoy my patience

Never! I'll hold them forever and no one could force me to sell my coins Well, they'll just get old and dusty if you don't take them out and clean them and lick them and love them sometimes. J/K But seriously, if you never spend them then you never really are using them for anything, right? What's the point?

Why does everybody think that BTC will reach 10k$ in next big raise?
Agreed. Why is everyone so bullish on bitcoin value compared to fiat rising? Unless I'm missing something, there are only two factors that can go into value... how scarce something is, and how much fiat is pumped into it. Over time, fewer coins will be mined so their value will increase, but this is a long tail. People converting their fiat to bitcoin will make the value go up as well... but this seems to be more of a money market than anything else. Discrepancies in value in a money market come about due to perceived value and volume of trading.

I am not spending or selling while Bitcoin is going down. I'll just sit and wait to see Bitcoin raise and then I will enjoy my patience If you are buying goods or services with BTC it is not necessarily a bad idea to spend while BTC is falling, because logically you can replace that same amount of BTC for a cheaper price. I guess it would be Spend high, buy lower...
