I'm really surprised by this, but I've suspected that some (!) were working together. I didn't nearly imagine that it would be this long.
It's just sad to see what journalism has turned into.

Just going to point out for some rightwingers that Fox News and its affiliates are also part of the "Main Stream Media".

So what's the point here, that people shouldn't be allowed to communicate with whomever the fuck they want? Or that those communications shouldn't be allowed to be hidden?

Where is the info regarding them discussing Bitcoin?

I consider myself to be someone more of the left than of the right, but I will concede that most Bitcoin opposition is from the left -- what it comes down to is they don't like putting money outside of taxation's reach, and they're friendlier to government currency manipulation in general.

I am someone who believes that people who earn more/have more should pay more, and I'm also a big fan of Bitcoin. I can't help but think there has to be a sensible way for both to work.

I don't think there was a point, just a kneejerk reaction from someone with a different opinion.

Where is the info regarding them discussing Bitcoin?

I was asking the same thing.  Pretty sure there isn't any.  Just some baseless conjecture that's been embellished to sound like more of a scandal than it actually is.

If anyone has been around these forums long enough to see the dozens and dozens of users who, from the very first post, make it clear that their *only* objective is to make every post an anti-Bitcoin war cry, then this isn't too surprising.  Sure, I'd imagine a few of those users are just bitter because they irresponsibly lost all of their savings and need someone else to blame, but the sheer volume of these types of users is indicative of something else going on.  And that's not including YouTube and Reddit posters, etc.

Shouldn't at the very least this post be moved to another board or something? Title is highly misleading at best.

Well it is a good thing I don't make every post an anti-Bitcoin post. I just recently sent out 5 separate transactions of .001 BTC to people for giving me feedback on my YT channel.

But I am more realistic, in the sense that the left and right and everyone do conspire to get their agenda across. The only issue I have with the left is mainly that they are wrong on mostly everything when it comes to economics and they spread too much bs on demonizing people. The left has done so much disinformation spreading that entire indutries have had to spring up to constantly call them on there lies and bs, Example: talk radio, Fox News. Do you know why most left leaning talk radio shows goes bankrupt within months? Because they lie too much and people call in and call them on it every time.

A local radio show features a more moderate right leaning person in the morning and every caller who calls in is always pleasant to him and never is rude of calls him a liar. Every time they have the left leaning guy on who comes on an hour later a majority of the callers who call in call him a liar and prove he is lying or slanting the truth all the time. I am very surprised the left leaning radio host hasn't quit yet and he still lies too. He condescends 24/7 and tells people the left has better answers and anyone who disagrees is backwards/racist/sexist/everything. My source of knowledge on this is listening to the radio show every single morning during my 1 hour commute for the past 2 years. The guy is absolutely hands down hated and where I live in this city the majority of people vote democrat.

I would think that the a large percentage of the people that support BTC are the liberal minded ones, not the other way around (as you suggest).

The rest of what you have stated is pretty shocking, but not surprising to be true...

Indeed, the Politics & Society subforum would be far more fitting, IMO.

One person's "truth" is another person's "propaganda".  You're never going to get everyone to agree on this stuff.  From the perspective of someone on the left, it's normally the right who are in favour of deregulating the finance sector and that deregulation is one of the primary causes of the the global clusterfuck going on in the world economy right now.  People on the left generally think the finance sector should be kept on a tighter leash for this precise reason.  Banks are a law unto themselves and all this neoliberal, crony-capitalism, profit-at-the-expense-of-moral-decency bullshit is the driving force behind it.  Call that demonizing if you want, but real world events back that statement up.

Well it's their fault to think so and not use their minds the right way. They might then conclude that there is something wrong with the world not the bitcoin and that is a big difference between the two.

Replace progressive with conservative, and see how the liberal circle would get their panties all bunched up crying media bias!

There is a huge double standard, mostly because anything like this gets spun by that very same liberal media. Look at the difference between the Tea Party coverage and the early Occupy coverage (before OWS completely embarrassed themselves). Liberal media bias is a fact.
