Can't open anymore Electrum wallet.

Hello Everyone

As the title says I'm not able anymore to open the electrum wallet on my laptop,I use windows xp. What should I do?

What do you mean you can't open it no more are you talking about you forgot your password or seed or simply cant open and it crashes?

Do you get an error message or anything?

Try backing up your wallet file and reinstall Electrum.

I m using the standard version.

It does't crash or give any error it just doesn't open at all.

Go to C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\Electrum

Then delete config file and start electrum again, if it still doesn't works, then backup your wallet and reinstall electrum.

How can I get a bake up if I can't open the wallet?

I did it but it didn't work,it's still not opening.

I installed a new electrum on another laptop and tried restoring the seed but it's snowing that my balance is 0 bit coin.

I'm guessing my seed is wrong,is it possible to restore it from the back up?

I really don't know what to do

Don't panic. If you have the wallet file and you know the password all sorts of things are possible. First thing you should do is make a backup of the wallet file if you haven't done so already.

Then try copying the wallet file over to the second laptop. The location of the wallet file is given below:

You should copy it to a similar location on the 2nd laptop. Does electrum run on the 2nd laptop now or not?

Also tell us which version of electrum and what operating system you are using?
