The defense is just because he robbed someone doesn't mean he deserves to be executed...but it sort of boosts the police officer's credibility if he is claiming Brown grabbed him and went for his gun much like Brown put his hands around that poor guy's neck.

This is Dorian Johnson, the "alleged" eyewitness who claimed that Brown was shot by the cops without provocation.



Now it is emerging that he is one of the suspects in the robbery, which was attempted by Brown.

I completely agree that cops need to be held to a higher standard than everyone else, simply because they have a higher authority than most. They need to be the ones that are NEVER making mistakes.

It upsets me that the facts of the interaction between the cop and the kid haven't even been sorted out yet and people are protesting.

The protestors seem to be fighting racism with racism and that will only breed more racism....

Update:
The friend who was with Michael Brown when he was shot and killed by a police officer near St. Louis over the weekend is reportedly confirming that he and Brown had taken part in the theft of cigars from a convenience store that day.

That word comes from the attorney for Dorian Johnson, speaking to MSNBC. Police in Ferguson had earlier announced that Brown was suspected of taking cigars from the convenience store in what was described as a “strong-arm robbery.”

My guess is all of the above actors have too much to lose for saying "we were wrong and we need to reevaluate what we do"... So nothing will change, unless for the worse.

Justice Department Reportedly Asked Ferguson Cops Not To Release Alleged Robbery Video Of Slain Teen



Police in Ferguson released a video tape allegedly showing slain teen Michael Brown robbing a store even though the Justice Department warned that doing so could enflame racial tensions, CNN is reporting.

Ferguson cops had wanted to release the video on Thursday but held off when federal officials asked them not to release the tape, an unnamed law enforcement official told CNN. That tape allegedly showed Brown stealing cigars from a convenience store before a police officer shot the unarmed 18-year-old in the street last weekend.

Despite holding off Thursday, Ferguson police still decided to release the tape Friday over the Justice Department's objections, according to CNN.

Some horrible pics circulating in Twitter, claiming to be the images of injuries suffered by protesters after they were shot with rubber bullets. Are rubber bullets capable of inflicting such injuries? (I thought that at the most they could cause bruises).

Rubber bullets will take off large pieces of skin when they hit you. Also, if you get hit in the eye, they can kill or blind you permanently.

Hmm... if these bullets can cause so much damage to the human body, then they should not be used against the civilians. The cops were already using tear gas shells. I think that was enough to scare away the protesters.

It's always interesting watching people sell the talking points of the media and not focus on right, wrong and facts.  Issues like this that turn racial are no different then political issues with people picking a side like it is a game.
