I can put up my forum as collateral, it has 430 + members and gets 30k unique views a month. Its worth about $2k.

Maybe I don't know everything about transferring forum ownership, but wouldn't that put all the 430+ members at risk of losing some of their private data to whoever holds the forum as collateral? If they don't have full control of the forum, then it's not a good collateral. If the DO have full control, then there's potential abuse. It's one or the other.

Maybe you can fill in the gaps to my understanding on this matter.

Alright. So, can we sell your forum for $2k easily, in case you default your loan?
I doubt it. So it's not collateral. Member Signups and Views can be faked easily.

Kind of silly taking most digital items as collateral anyways.
So easy for the person to take them back.

How do you give someone a forum anyways ? You going to give the domain, server with software, web hosting contract etc etc ?

You basically transfer the domain and the stuff on his server to yours. But he can still keep a copy of the files, and files aren't sold easily, lol.

You can go to the forum and see the post count and how active the members are, so you can tell its not a fake or botted forum. I can prove the site worth along with anything else you need. Just contact me. The transfer process is fairly easy and you will lose no data during the transfer of the domain and website. The files would be useless to me as I wouldn't have the domain that the members go to. It is fairly easy to turn and sell the site, I would sell it myself and use the money but I want to keep it so this is how I am doing it. Thanks!
